Who Rode Today?

Fall has arrived in the PNW. Rain until spring. Oh well.
The riding season is quickly coming to an end here...to top it all off, the municipality is tearing up our street to lay new asphalt and expect to be done end Oct....it will be a mess until then. They started on Monday and are cutting the ends off all our driveways as a start...

.....yay!!!!!!

They do make an auto adjusting headlight but I ain’t about to shell out 1000bucks for it. If I know I’ll have a passenger and do extended night riding I’ll up the preload and that will be a non issue. Now, dj sound. I didn’t know just how loud this thing truly is. Max volume is 50, I’m running 80 on the highway with a full face, lid closed on 25 volume and can hear it clear as day. And I need hearing aids as I’m pretty deaf without them and need to read lips to understand people. My kid and I cranked it up to 30 and got 18 houses down the road and could still make out the music.

Even on the high-beam, the road seems even darker with rain. Sort of toyed with the idea of some of those fancy yellow spot lights. Maybe I should just slow down...

I would be 17% cooler if I had a GSXR...

Man I loved those when they came out in the '80's. So raw. When I started my job in L.A. all the kids had them. They would lane-split with their girlfriends in Spandex leaned over riding passenger. But I'm getting off topic...
GSXRs are fun, I had one in '85 and seemed to always have one around since....until I reduced my fleet down to my Bumblebee, the last bike to go was my Bandit.....always loved that engine....

I got out for a decent ride today....

I have a favorite section of road in the middle of nowhere-it is a complex series of sweepers right/left and then right again with a slight hill that I am able to get a little air over.....I ride a loop and this sweeper is on the way to my loop so I get it coming and going....but the way back is more fun.....when going through it on my way out, I noted some car driver cut the corner and spewed gravel from the roadside all over the corners....this wrecked any chance I had of going fast through these sweepers and bummed me out....(damn car drivers).....

My street is torn up but it's only a few hundred meters to pavement again...

I think the front corner shot is the most photogenic picture of the Hayabusa.....(the herring gull in the background seems to agree)

Coming home from work today ran into a bunch of boneheads on the Interstate on the bike. They couldn't stay in their own lanes, doing 10-15 below the speed limit, slowing down, speeding back up in a pack like that for miles. Almost said it's time for a high speed Lane Split but a hole opened up and I was glad to get away from them fools. I guess they don't know what the right lane is for LOL.
