Who Rode Today?

Got the GoPro 8 working. I like this mounting location too. Too low and it makes higher speeds look slow and too high and it slows things down. This looks very accurate speed wise. Camera is amazing as far as image stability. Hard to believe this is just on a hard point.

A 111 mile ride at my favorite spot

How are you liking it?
Yep pretty good,

It has electronic suspension so its taking a wee bit of figuring out all part of the fun, set up fairly soft at this time as riding a bit little slower due to gritted roads for frosts. Summer will be interesting when the pace picks up and its time to dial in a firmer ride at a push of a button.
Very comfortable riding position with 2 seat heights available and wide bars, 4 positions for the screen height something else to to find a balance with, weather protection not to bad.

2 power modes, Touring fairly lame but smooth, Sport is the fun go to but a bit snatchy at lower revs,(never had that with the Busa or BKing) gets to 200kph reasonably quick with good low down grunt nice for when overtaking stock trucks and tankers quickly and safely.
Traction control set to 1 for the moment , when turned off theres a noticeable pick up on the throttle:D

Factory heated grips work realllly well and something new to me on a bike is cruise control, i used it a couple of times when i rode it home last week , easy to use and will get the occasional use esp on long day rides or when the radar is talking to me

Did a oil and filter change plus the diff - nice and easy access to everything.
So yes very early days but happy chappy

I rode to the dealer to order an OEM sprocket for when I put my new chain on. On the way a Ducati snuck up and passed me so I passed him until he passed me again miles later when I was slowing down to exit. It was about 45 miles round trip. I also sat on the 2020 V-Strom 1050 XT in the color below. Tall bike but I can flat foot it. It is a cool bike. I can't give up my busa for it though.

Went for a 120km round trip ride to go see my little granddaughter...boy was it windy out there on the road...whew! The tree tops were whipping pretty good out there.

I felt sorry for the guy ahead of me on the Yamaha sport bike as he was getting blown all over the road, my bike was pretty stable, a gust did hit me once and it was a little dicey but nowhere near what was going on with this guy and his bike. I was glad for the extra weight of the Busa today.

Bike ran stellar without a hitch whatsoever, these bikes are just so good...

 at the Road Pirate on the Harley-thing very obviously ignoring your existence....

After detailing the bikes I rode the exact route around a nearby lake on both bikes. Surprisingly the odo on the Z read 55.7 miles and the odo on the Busa read 57.2. That 1.5 miles is quite a a difference for just a short ride. Wonder which one is more accurate? The new shield on the Z seems ok although at speed I could hear what sorta sounded like a loose strap was slapping my helmet off and on

. Maybe it’s directing the air over the front a lil differently. I’ll need more time to really determine if it’s good or bad.

I’ll be skirting the Park until July 6th because even though it opened they’re only allowing I think, 3,600 in per day and you have to have a reservation already purchased online thru recreation.gov. The Tioga thru road opens on the 15th. I spent time on rec.gov only to learn that July 6th is the earliest I can enter. The additional fee for this COVID related ‘pass’ is $2. All other entry fees apply. My lifetime pass gets them to waive any fee other than that $2. I think they have lowered the m/c entry fee to $28 and as with all passes it’s good for seven days. Thankfully there are other passes over the top and plenty of foothills to ride but, I do miss Tioga pass and other roads inside the Park.
