Who Rode Today?

Nice to see you riding the Busa for a change lol.
Say, do you replace tyres as a pair? Or just as they wear out time wise?
I’ve always done pairs and it’s so nice to corner with brand new tyres, the radius profiles are perfect and so is the turn-in into corners!
I always change mine out as a pair.

Rode up to the lake to get some ice cream only about 60 miles total but I will get some more miles in between the showers tomorrow
Our bike hang out at the beach got bought and will soon be a 30 story hotel. Was a super fun place to look and be seen, right on the main drag. I always wondered how long a BP gas station could hold an expensive property like that. Bet it wasn't even covering the taxes. Anyway some of the bikers moved to a Dairy Queen right on the strip. I'm guessing the cops are running us outta there in a week. So now there isn't a hangout on the beach. Kinda sucks even though I probably only went down there 3-4 times a season.

Years ago there would be all sorts of bikes up around the lake, now it’s mostly cruisers. Seems to be less and less sport bikes around.

I went out today with the usual suspects, great mild winters day, light breeze, sunny, 16 degC.... perfect!
Oh, and just for @WuzzaCBXRider I removed that hideous eyesore from the back of my bike lmao!!

Is that a GSX1400? I like the color, it goes with your bike...which looks different without that rack on the back, looks like a proper sport bike now.

Seems always the way these days....finding a decent hangout in a good spot is rare.

We used to hang out at the local coffee shop but the owner put the run on us.

Bunch of old guys on various bikes is pretty intimidating or so she said...

Bought a 2014 DL1000A yesterday, 10k mi. Picking it up today. Pics coming!

A former colleague of mine had one in black...he sold it last fall and bought a '19 650 Strom. He was here last week for a visit with it...could barely tell it was running.

Great bikes..

Very short ride to test seat, bags , and enjoy a wheelie or two ;)
All work well . Hurricane Hanna is throwing lots of rain in waves at us . Nothing bad but just enough to make any ride of distance a wet one .
The seat cover solved monkey butt . However its strange touching the ground so easily now . Overall comfort to be determined on a longer ride .

Got the same thing going here in NZ . .
I reckon it’s gotta be the ageing of the biker generation, we all need softer seats and higher handlebars for our creaky old backs and sore shoulders and necks lmao.
Combined with very few young guys of the next generation interested in riding bikes, we will see less sport bikes every year.

Yep, there are a few of that colour getting around here.
We are Team Suzuki!
I thought I’d have one day without the pack rack and bag. . Just to try it out and see if I like it without the ‘air-brake’ on the back...
First thing I noticed was less drag at acceleration and also cruising.
Surprise surprise you may say, but I’d got so used to it I’d never noticed the drag before.
The reason I used it was for carrying a six pack of beers for every ride with my buddy, we drank like fish for years but nowadays I don’t drink at all and he just has one beer when we stop at pubs. I drink water.
I also carried food, extra gloves, clothing etc on every ride.
I gotta say, it’s handy to have but I’m gonna go to a smaller bag that lies flat on the rack coz I just don’t need all the luggage space now.
