Honestly, what the hell is wrong with you snake?

We're proud of being an airborne unit as "small" of an accomplishment as it is, its better than being a leg. Being proud and having a sense of pride is different than bragging, I dont know why you have to come down negatively and then act like you werent being so while still saying you think I'm bragging. I have integrity and honesty, I don't lie to people about what I do nor do I parade around with it, whens its asked I tell people what I do with a sense of pride but without being boastful, I was hoping some of my other airborne would sound off back to me, but you take it as me acting like I have a viet. badge on my class A's

Ok-- r...e...a....l... slow... It wasn't a bash against getting you or anyone else getting your wings, the gist of the comment was that the selection, training, and schooling for SF is MUCH MUCH more difficult.. if you went thru SFAC/QC, then indeed your wings are a minor achievement RELATIVE to YOUR other achievements. Now ur in an airborne unit... awesome-- great-- gratz...

It was a JOKE that I would think obvious to one who supposedly spent so much time at Fort Bragg.... which you would of gotten... comprende? di ba? jue de?. One does make assumptions based on initial statements... You said Active army, you said SF, and your in FLA.

SF folks in FLA are in 3rd battalion 20th SF group , which is National Guard, not Active Army.

"but you take it as me acting like I have a viet. badge on my class A's"

not at all-- if you took it that way, thicken up that skin soldier.

Ohh cache-- tis not defensive... sometimes army folks need a little more connecting of the dots to get it...

btw you army boys aren't the only ones with wings.

everyone--

While we on the topic-- anyone on active recruiting duty think they may lift the age restrictions anytime soon?

I ain't gettin any younger and the corps chuckled and swatted me away last time I got a little fire in my eyes and told 'em I wanted back in. Actually he bought me a coke, chewed the fat for 10 minutes, and then said "sorry snake... now let us get back to these fat body 17 year olds..."

Nice tat Stkr00, a bubble head eh?? Nice, rough duty I hear....

What unit were you with in the Seabees?? I was in NMCB 25 after I switched rates from CTR to EO after I got out of Active Duty.

Who said AF is the brains of the ops?? Maybe for the Army, but the Navy is the brains + support for the jarheads. Being a NUG still, I'm sure you didn't know that though.

Spoken like a true Marine...

Keep in mind that him "bragging" about his school is about the same as a Marine "bragging" about wings. (not that either of you were bragging, its just what you accused each other of)

I'll say the same thing that I say to em over here...

Remember guys, we are all on the same side.

Thanks cool.gif

Sub duty was great, but not seeing the sun for 75 days at a shot kinda sucked. Had the pleasure to serve with people of the highest caliber though, which made it the best duty I ever had.

In the SeaBees, I was in ACB-1 based out of Coronado California. Had to cross-rate to Boatswain's Mate for the reserves. Go figure...Nuke Machinist's Mate to Boatswain's Mate. Those that know, will understand my frustration, but it was just the reserves.

Thanks Snake.

Only took me 6 years to figure out the design I wanted. Not that it's complicated, but it was one tattoo that I didn't want to regret...I've already got a couple of those.

Alot of Active and former military on this site... Good stuff. It doesn't matter what branch you are/were but that you had the balls to serve. (no offense to any of the ladies that served... Your ballsy too!)
I come from a military family where every male member has been in either the Army or Marines... You can imagine the pissing contests at Thanksgiving dinner when the testestorne flows and we are suddenly beating each other with whole turkeys...

damn snake, little defensive there . did you lose some kind of combined exersize to another serviceman?
You can always tell a military guy, very competitive!

I have nothing against the Marines, they march by our building every morning and give us a good lugh with the cadence you cannot understand... tounge.gif

My uncle retired Marines, one cousin is Air Force, another cousin was Marine but he died before he finished his 2 year (non-military related) RIP, I am Army, and my wife works for the Army...
