I have always found that when in another country you learn the language of that country .That shows respect for them . When I came from Germany in 1954 no one was there to teach me in German ,English was the language.

I read this morning that people are launching inquests for investigations at how SEAL hazing (hell week) and training is being conducted...
The "so what" of this sort of inquest could be the watering down of special forces training...the "so what" of this is often times special forces of all levels are placed in positions where it is necessary for the human body and mind to be subjected to things an average human being would have difficulty with. If this training were to be watered down, it could result in more failed missions and human lives-not only the operators but the people they are charged with protecting/extracting.
Our own special forces training was subjected to this sort of scrutiny and it was watered down and our units lost their tier 1 designation.
Once the "wokes" get into this world, they will tear it apart.

Why is it people go to another country and break a law then cry to their home country to bail them out...and she's not just crying to the state dept but to the President and VP directly
My thought is, if you don't want to be in trouble in another country-don't go looking for it.
If someone arrives on the shores of the US under the same circumstances, they would be in trouble as well.
In the case of this Brittany Griner person, she was caught with hash oil in her luggage and now the Russians have a pawn in their political game of waving this in front of the US....if she was smart, she would have avoided taking drugs to another country in the first place....play stupid games and win stupid prizes.
I read about this a little and she's dredging up the fact her father was a Marine who did 2 tours in Viet Nam....he did that her...what he did should have no bearing on what she did....

It's crazy to see all the people coming to her defense. If she was an ordinary citizen, there would be no media attention at all. No matter how minor the law is that she broke, she should have known how strict other countries can be with their drug laws.
I think that some American tourists think that they can do what they want in other counties because they are American. If something happens, then they play victim and start making these calls to government officials.
They call that "entitled" I believe..

She played professional basketball there. It's not like she didn't travel in and out with frequency. She was no tourist.
Having said that, it does look suspicious that all of a sudden she has illegal drugs on her. She would know better than to be stupid.

Look at during the cold war how many Soviet inventions looked identical to western equipment and devices (they never worked the same though).
