Why is it?

While out for a walk this morning I see a kid around 10 or so booting it down our street on a sort of go cart....it's one of those hoverboard things with wheels and a seat attached..

It's really low to the ground and he's going down the street and pulled in front of a car of which the driver at least saw him and avoided him..

The mother was in her drive way when I came to it and he also came to at about the same time...when he flew into the driveway he almost hit me...I mentioned to his mother that he is a bit dangerous on that thing and he almost hit me (she saw him)...she said to him to be more cautious and respectful on his toy...at that he rolled his eyes, shrugged and proceeded to take off onto the street again right in front of a car which slammed on it's brakes and the driver put the window down and started chastising me as I was standing there.

I told the driver I am just walking by and have nothing to do with the lad.....and then off I went to the sounds of the driver turning their attention on the mother...

My house is quite a way (probably a km) and an intersection away from where the kid lives and he was down past my house in the middle of the street...hopefully he doesn't get run over accidently...

Wow, at this point it is only a matter of time. When that happens, the mom will blame the driver. Sounds like 'free-range parenting'

Another "Why is it?"

Go into a big box store and they already have a few rows of Halloween stuff and then a few rows over there is Christmas stuff......it's only September for crap's sake.....

Why is it people don't do proper maintenance or storage on their small engines then freak out when they don't start when they want them to...???

Case in point, my neighbor was out trying to start his snowblower (we don't have snow yet) and it was only running for a few seconds and then quitting....he was getting really frustrated and I could hear him cussing the blower out.

I went over to lend a hand, right away all the questions I asked were "I can't remember" questions like, did you put stabilizer in it?, when was the last time the spark plug was changed? etc...

So I cleaned the carb, as it was a Tecumseh it had the needle jet on the side of the carb that most people don't know about..and threw some sea foam in it......within minutes I had it running and idling down and advised him to pick up a new spark plug.

Another happy neighbor..

No, I haven't watched it yet.

I suppose the new remakes are better for CGI with technology being as good as it is these days.

If we look at all the other things they've remade as far as vehicles, they are pretty decent...
Well the recent new Top Gun used very little cgi and all flight scenes were pretty much real. I thought for that it was great.
