Woolich gen 3 unlocked?

No, I belive you.
I just figured that's where it must be if they had it listed, but then the flash details were posted.
So Im guessing once its released there will be some changes to that posting on their website. Im just happy to see some news and progress unlike the folks in Sweden.

Definately.
What area do you live/who are you considering to dyno tune it?

I live about 4 hours north of you above DC. I havent began the search yet for reputable tuners in the DMV I am not opposed to going to HTP either. To make the trip to Taylor SC isnt ideal.

Yeah, Moore's is about 10 hours from you.

Also who here is going to buy their own tuner? I am not opposed to owning my own 400 dollars to buy the tuner and software with harness isnt bad. Finding a shop to do the tune etc is key. I dont like the cookie cutter idea either. I would also rather support and maintain a local relationship. Hopefully they will have this ready to ship by first week of June.
I was never a big fan of the cookie cutter tunes being loaded on the ecu idea like @mooremafia and others offers. At least with a pcv map u can remove it relativity easy and since we just sent a buddies ecu to Chris Moore over the winter for his gixxer 1000r I'm glad I decided against sending mine, don't get me wrong the bike is crazy when it comes to power but it's not smooth by any means just kind of twitchy and balls to the wall. Great if your racing in a straight line but id really hate to have to try and control it on a track going thru some deep turns. I'm sure had it been put on the dyno and tuned it'd be much smoother. Now I just got to get the time to reassemble my dyno and figure out how to tune these things :banghead:

I did the full package for my ZX14R and it was awesome and easy to monitor. I would daytalog and then adjust my map to compensate to achieve the AFR that I was setting up. What was also great was I had different tunes depending on what I was doing. Commuting had a different tune than drag strip. There are a ton of youtube videos as well as customer support from Woolich. I will be doing it again!

The '18gsxr1000R I ride that Chris Moore dyno'd through the ecu is incredible.
I get the base map deal, but with him dyno'ing it, the response is smooth and instant everywhere.
Chris Moore's dyno ability is on point.

Ya I've heard his dyno skills are excellent and I'm sure it'd be a lot better had he actually had it on the dyno but for what it is the bike is definitely a beast after his flash/tune.

A gen3 passed me on my way to work this morning(in my truck)...first one I've seen in the wild, lol(other than at the dealer).
I thought it was a gen2 until it passed, as it was stretched 6"? and blacked out...with a mountain of a man riding it, also in black gear and jeans.
Without the gold or chrome, and blacked out, at a glance it was hard to tell it wasn't a gen2, until I saw the tail and hump.
It had a short single exhaust, but couldn't see what, and it didn't have the typical Busa growl, it was more high pitch.
About 20 min south of Lynchburg, Va, on rt29 north(if the guy is ever here).
Needless to say it didn't help me wanting to call in to work and go buy my own, lol.

So I'm assuming this is why I had several tickets per hour in our support system today asking about the new Busa. :) *Forrest Gump waves to all of those who created a ticket*

Questions/Concerns About the Product Listing
It is just a temporary listing that we need in order to test some software side of things as well as our own infrastructure pushing definition keys down to accounts, MapShare working correctly, so on so forth. This is why you don't see any specific hardware listed yet as to what interface it uses, harnesses and just have general info and harnesses listed for the time being.

"But the bin file definition key shows on the website!"
The bin file definition key... again needed to test. If you buy it now, like many have, it won't actually unlock in your account. If you do buy it in advance - it will automatically be available once it releases. Otherwise it's not doing much for you getting the definition now. If you were one of the many who did already and want a refund, let us know by way of ticket. We will yoink it off your account and we'll refund it so you can re-purchase when it's launched. Otherwise if you are happy with waiting, when it's ready you will be able to update your software and view/access it immediately.

My take? Just wait and buy it with either of the all inclusive kits. That way you don't have any confusion as to why you need to buy another definition if you already purchased one and have to create a ticket to ask about just buying this, that and the other. If you get the all inclusive kit - that will all be done for you from the get go. ;)

Or if you already have a compatible interface, then you will just need the harness and definition. Easy peasy.

Other Hardware Questions, Requirements, Etcetera
Once released the entire products page will be overhauled and everything updated; the interface required, compatible harnesses, complete packages, features available, etc. I'm not able to give too much away at the moment... But we will have both bike flashing available as well as bench flashing available at release. So those who like to tinker on their own or prefer tuning on the dyno with a reputable tuner will be satiated as will those tuners who offer send in tunes or those who just want a quick easy flash done for them by a reputable tuner.

Plans
There are a few things we want to do, but if we get to a point where we are happy with the release and it checks all the boxes and we haven't added a few of the things we want like quickshifter, launch control, blah blah blah, we will likely release without those functions and come back to it later when allowed. Right now we are buried in projects but trying to get through them as quickly as possible.

This is an entirely new ECU, with a new microcontroller inside that has it's own instruction set that vary drastically from say the Renesas SH7052/7055/7058. Those days are gone I'm afraid. So as we learn more about it specifically on this platform or others, we will be able to do more things with it.

I can't (won't) go into too much detail about specifics at this time, simply because of some people out there and we'd like to maintain any competitive advantage we have.

Release Date
We are -super close- to release. We're in the later stages now. I do not have a concrete ETA - as things always do come up in development. I think for the new Z H2 and ZX-10R we thought we had everything in the last bit of testing and it still took a few weeks after that initial point we thought we were okay to go as we were able to generate some off the wall errors that although unlikely to be seen user side, we could recreate repeatedly and pushed it back until we had those resolved.

Best thing I can say is keep your eyes peeled on Facebook or our official website (www.woolichracing.com) for the release. For those who are subscribed to the waitlist, you'll be notified via email when it is ready.

Product Availability
All the product is available in house, at least here in the US. I can't speak for the other distributors in the UK, EU or AU, but we've had it ready for a bit. We have been steadily ordering hardware as available in order to build up some stock levels that we hope will be sufficient when it launches soon. Even though we did that with the Z H2 and ZX-10R, we sold out of everything in a matter of a day or two because demand was that high. Hopefully this won't be the case, but if it is - hardware will be arriving by Kangaroo and Koala weekly so any back orders will be filled in the order they're received.

And no, before anyone asks, I am not doing any pre-orders on hardware. That hasn't worked out well for me in the past because say something is delayed, then you're left with hardware that you can do nothing with. My mom often didn't get batteries for my toys at Christmas, so I know what it's like having a new toy and not be able to do anything with it. Don't want that to happen to you guys as it upsets you, which upsets me because I can't do anything about it to push it out any faster and feel bad about it like I duped you guys or something. So, I'd prefer to just skip all that if possible especially with what I think will be sufficient hardware - unless I've totally underestimated the demand level. In which case, future me says he is sorry and we can usually have new hardware here in under a week :)

Anyways, I hope this clears up some things for everyone. I will try to check in here periodically, but we are absolutely bonkers busy right now so our support system is high priority. Thanks guys and gals!
Thank you very very much for the clarification. We are getting excited and anticipating your finishing work !.

It was me, I was out for a morning spin then back to Vegas.

-When it gets released, do we anticipate being able to access our own maps from the drive / power mode selector? God that would be nice.
-What is the latest thinking / results on the velocity stacks? I'm guessing new ones will be pretty much mandatory. Or do we simply not yet know?
-Obviously, I want a performance map. I also want a quiet map. As quiet as you can make Hayabusa with a Yosh pipe. For the sake of the neighbors / getting through town unobtrusively / getting pulled over. That would also probably be a good fuel conserving map if you're worried about making it to the next gas station. And the third map would be one which dumps fuel on deceleration. Decelerating through a tunnel on sport bike can produce the finest music on this planet. And I want that music again.
-I'm not so sure about a rain map. That's going to be a rain setting for traction control and abs. Which might make wet roads actually pretty fun. I don't think my nervous system ever was more perfectly tuned to feel the limits of the bike then after a track school in the rain at Laguna Seca. I recommend track days in the rain. Your muscle memory and nervous system will be SET afterwards (but you probably have to maintain that).
