1st Annual Hayabusa.org Meet-n-Greet!

You might want to extend the date on gathering the names of any interested rydaz that would like to attend the Busa Round Up planned for 05. Some employers only let their employees schedule their vacation after the beginning of the year and then its based on their seniority. If not, I feel we will get more names at the end of Jan. So lets keep bumpn this sucka till then.

If you need any assistant with planning ,just holla.

Sounds good...

Ya'll voting for freakin Arkansas really are not takin gthe West coast folks into consideration at all. True, Kansas is the actually center but there is a lack of roads. I cannot emphasize enough that Colorado in the Summer is going to be the Bomb. Real mountain roads stretching for hours, camping that doesn't suck, IE not all HOT and Muggy Full of Bugs...

There is some sorta wierd ass Southern thing at work here I think. Folks, I'm telling ya Colorado is an "EXTRA STATE" away from the Geographic center of the US but it is 100% worth the extra miles.

-Good Camping
-Affordable Hotels
-Decent cost of living (No Harsh Price Gouging or Super High Cost of living)
-Perfect weather 60-80 degrees Low Humidity
-Beautiful scenery
-And twisties that actually lead to something cool.
- AMA Racing at PPIR around May...

You could spend a week in Colorado riding 8 hours a day and never have to backtrack across the same stretch of twisty highway.

Southern Crew, really lok at the maps, look at the prices, then maybe make a Family Vacation outta it. Go see the Rockies, if you have never been you will be amazed. Makes the Ozarks and the Appalachians look like little bitty foothills...

Hey Rev!  Man I've been reading about your love for Colorado for almost two years now.....question.....What the heck are you doing in Florida?! Get your butt out to the place you love so dearly before ten years have gone by and you have serious regrets! Just my .02....

He he... Military Service first took me to Omaha, then the wife's job brought me kicking and screaming to Tampa.  Wasn't my choice, I wanted nothing to do with heat and Humidity...

Seriously though Folks.  I am thinking around May 2006. Time it to coincide with the AMA racing at PPIR.  Weather will be good, and the racing should be fun as well.

IF May 2006 is the time frame there is plenty of time to save a little beer money and make the whole cost of the thing about painless. May 2006 gives us over a year and a half to save, bring the whole family, there is plenty to do that doesn't involve bikes as well.  Mucho Hiking and free beauty to be had.

On the other hand, there are some really friendly folks in Arkansas. Brothers and sisters sure seem to do a lot of hugging...

But then they all have that lazy eye thing going on. You never really know which eye to look at when you're talking to them...

As borrowed from the STN forum.... This map helps put both locations in perspective! Colorado and Arkansas.

Trying to remain neutral, I thought I would even the playing field by posting some pic's of the Arkansas scenery... If you have pic's of the other choices post em here!

I also borrowed this photo's from STN... So, many thanks to the folks over there who made their national trip and took these photo's!

Colorado is too far west to be considered centrally located. Eureka Springs is the logical choice for a "centrally located" site. Any other choice and you need to consider two locations. As I stated in the polls section, we are fortunate to have the example of the highly successful meet held by Sport-Tour.net to base the decision of Eureka Springs on. A large number of the posts by the Sport-Tour.net participants after their meet in Eureka Springs this year were comments regarding how pleasantly surprised they were to find such abundant quality riding in the area.

The main thing that needs to happen is for more people to vote. I would gladly vote if someone would please give me a reset after viewing the statistics first.

I would reccommend doing it with the Cyclefest in Copper Mountain. I attended the cyclefest last year and the riding is awesome. Copper Mountain is located approx 1hr west of Denver right on I-70 and the riding is abundant and awesome. So many different places to go and lots of beautiful senery to see along the way. check this link to see what I am talking about.

Arkansas is even better, but I don't know about the road

Good Stuff there too... Is it still Suzuki Cyclefest? Would make it sort of appropriate to have a shid load of Busa's show up.

Bucket Head. Like I said look at a fuggin map... Central to who? Dayum... Think outside your box there bro, Arkansas totally screws the West coast folks.... Remember them?

If you want logic, a Busa Meet would have to be held in Kansas.. At The Bugs house... Loboboy has a nice place too... I bet we could crash in his backyard...
