20 cent RPM eliminator

What about Neutral? On the Gen 1, the GPS output for neutral is higher than 6th gear, not in between 1 and 2.

Is your gear indicator showing 1N23455? I didn`t get it from your first post.
How you know that you have no rev limiter? Is that no 6 gear rev limiter or no limit at all?

It would still have a rev liniter in all gears. The lower limit in 6th would be eliminated.
That`s what I think.

He just said in
THIS
: "With a TRE that fakes the ECM into thinking it's in 5th, you can rev it until the rods come home... Or is that cows come home"

Looking at his schematic he posted neutral signal comes from the Blue wire coming out of the gps conection, The resister goes between Pink and Black which is the output for 1st to 6th Gear

The purpose of this mod is to eliminate the 6th gear RPM rev limiter... This can be compared to the GPS mod that is being performed by others to accomplish the same thing. Once again, this is not a Timing Retard Eliminator (TRE) mod; it does not affect the smooth acceleration of the Busa in gears 1-4 under 4000 RPM.

Since the Blue wire that supplies the physical ground for the LED in the neutral display is left stock, the Neutral light operates normally.

The Busa displays the following:

1st gear / a 1 in the Gear indicator display
Neutral / Nothing in the Gear indicator display / green neutral light is illuminated
2nd gear / a 2 in the Gear indicator display
3rd gear / a 3 in the Gear indicator display
4th gear / a 4 in the Gear indicator display
5th gear / a 5 in the Gear indicator display
6th gear / a 5 in the Gear indicator display

Public apology: I apologize if you purchased a GPS mod and feel like you have been taken, this is not the purpose. The GPS mod was money well spent... It accomplishes the same results as this. I am not asking in any way for compensation for this post and never will. If you want to know how to add a switch or add the stock Suzuki connectors, just ask. This is electronics and virtually anything is possible.

If gears indicated correctly then you right, 1N23455 is what you can get with this mod.

No 6th gear REV limiter to red light.

You other post was confusing where you stated that rev limiter illuminated completely.

In theory your 22KOhm resistor should work exactly as you said.

If you can get dyno chart with a/f ratios that will prove it 100%, with and without resistor.

I`d like to add that no harm could be done with your resistor installed.

Great job!

Vic

Your very close... Lets hook up some time if you don't mind hangin with an old fart.

Put on almost 100 miles today and all is good

i`m not too young fart myself... I was installing Woodcraft generator cover today and i`m on-call all week.... no riding for me.

I`m in Highlands Ranch, C470 and Broadway. i`d be happy to meet you for a ride.

Going to radio shack tommorrow to get the resistor, and thinking of mounting a switch to turn off and on. So you can have the full gear indicator when you want, and or the derestriction of 6th gear! I wonder if you can install a LED to indicate when the switch is turned on?!!! HMMMMM!!!

Grab a SPST (single pole Single throw) switch while you are there and connect it in series on the ground side of the 22K resistor.
They may even have an LED illuminated switch that will require one more 12v lead if you want to go to the extra work in dragging a 12v wire to the switch.

Schematic attached.
