2022 Engine changes....

Less than 11k out the door. That's why I was saying the numbers would not add up for me. I would definitely get the gen3 if for no other reason than to have the first of a new generation, but again the price between the two wouldn't make sense in my case.
Looking at what was done for the Gen3 I believe they built it with the aftermarket in mind. A pipe, tune and stacks I think would be more than enough to get the job done which would put it over 20k which unfoutunately is even more out of my price range. I still can't wait to see what you guys do with it!
That's a great price, drive out with all taxes and fees included. I purchased my 2008 for a steal like that also. Unfortunately some dealers think they are gold lately so I ordered at 2022 for a little over $2k more than I could find a 2020.

That part about the mufflers “silencers” changing colors suited to the type of riding that’s done sounds a lil...hawdabeeleeve! The part about how the exhaust is tuned for sound (is) believable though as Kawasaki did the same to my Z900RS. On mine, the volume and ’bark’ of the exhaust is dealt with in the breadbox sized Cat under the bike. Several guys have changed mufflers with almost no change in volume or tone. Once the Cat is deleted the baffling of the mufflers determines the sound but, it doesn’t change colors. Thin walled headers can change colors but I’ve never seen a muffler change colors. It will be interesting to see how ‘each rider can add a unique personal touch to their bike’ by the different colors and “hue” of the silencers. Whaaaaa?View attachment 1632484
when I read that I heard "you can't put an aftermarket pipe on here but you can make it your own by the discoloration?" Either that or dang we can't stop this discoloration let's try and sell it. It could be they used thin metal for weight and it just discolors.

I was thinking the same thing. It happens a lot with titanium exhaust but they don't say anything about it being titanium so curious why they even mentioned it..lol

Once we have the ability to tune via PC or Bazzaz, the exhaust is the first thing I'll remove unless we learn the throttle is closing early like other current bikes. Then we'll all hope for someone to hack the ECU..

That's amazing as I paid $10,700 OTD for my blue 07' and that was a price drop

Quicker means acceleration, how do you know it's quicker when the bikes aren't even released. If Suzuki is rating it quicker than the old bike in 0-60, 1/8, etc aren't you putting the buggy before the horse a bit..lol.

How much did you pay for your 2019? Every area is different so it may be for some, not the case for me especially factoring in the upgrades for price.
I based it off from what Suzuki has released which I’m sure they tested both and came to that conclusion. Why would I pay more for a bike that is on the same performance level as the generation right from the box?.

I got a deal on my '19, brand new, 0 miles for about 8k less than the gen3. If that price gap wasn't so wide I would consider the new one. I've always looked at the Busa like a Big Block 454 Chevelle not a big block Vista Cruiser. Again, I would get one but the numbers don't add up for my situation.
That is exactly the same I’ve here. The Gen 3 is $28k ride away and a 2020 Gen 2 is $17k ride away.

2-tenths quicker 0-60 and 2-tenths in the 1/8-mile isn't close to the same performance level for a stock bike...

No wonder you're a little pissed, that's ridiculous. I paid $10,500 ride out for my 2008 and the 2022 will be $17,900.
