45 Days on a Gen3 Hayabusa - 2023 Pashnit Touring

All I see in my mirrors are lights. Gets dark in the redwood forest.

Backroads along the ocean: Higgins Canyon Rd > Purisma Creek Rd

Tunitas Creek Rd is a favorite of every rider in the Santa Cruz Mountains, it heads up a forested canyon to the top of the range, mostly single lane

Although several of the riders were very local, Mike & Paul were 20 min from their home base

Awesome tour group of riders. Some of us have been riding together for more than 15 years.

In the Santa Cruz Mountains, all twisty roads lead to Alice's. But it's Friday & not much going on at Alice's up at Four Corners. During weekends, this place is covered in hundreds of bikes, and numerous exotic cars.

Highway 84 leads down the hill to La Honda & San Gregorio on the coast, it's a curvy ride and fast. A few miles away is the Pigeon Point Lighthouse, built in 1871. While most of the organized motorcycle tours I run are 95% repeat business, we were excited to have two new riders on this tour, Peter from Texas & Marty from Nevada, which meant a mandatory stop to check out the historic lighthouse at Pigeon Point.

Lighthouses probably get boring after awhile, seen one, ya seen 'em all, but I still like lighthouses along the Pacific Coastline

Pigeon Point Lighthouse is a chance for us to get off the bikes, and enjoy the perfect day along the ocean.

One of my favorite roads, the single lane portion of Highway 35, lots of blind corners but it had brand new pavement, super awesome!

Our ride through the Santa Cruz Mountain range.

Highway 9 is a famous road to the San Francisco Bay Area locals. Kinda a Deals Gap sort of thing.

In Boulder Creek, there's a small cafe built around a giant redwood tree. It's growing up through the middle of the building.
