That is definitely a very respectable background, what is it exactly that you are attempting to refute?

If they are advanced enough to find us and travel here, they would be smart enough to harvest non-inhabited planets. A gas giant, for example, which are all over the place, would provide a nearly endless supply of combustables. Any rocky planet will give you the ores you need. The only thing we have to offer is biological material. If they made the effort to find us and travel all the way over here, they are likely not intending on doing us harm. It would simply be cost-ineffective.

I remember reading the cover of an Astronomy magazine (never did read the article) that stated the possibility of Neptune raining Diamonds. Could you imagine?

The pedestal you have placed mainstream science on. Until you are willing to take your blinders off, science will continue to be pure and everything on the Discover channel is fact.

I could wear out a keyboard on this subject. The short form of life on other planners. Just because God didn't tell us he created life on planets other than Earth doesn't me He didn't do it. As advanced as we like to think we are, we aren't ready to meet beings who are advanced enough to travel here. While we've made some significant advances in the last 100 years, our thought processes hasn't changed in centuries.

Oh, I see now, you are attempting, in vain, to assert your superiority in science by stating you have a graduate level computer science degree and undergraduate studies in mathematics, while lowly me only watches the discovery channel. I simply would like you to stop being so vague and state what is in mainstream science that is so flawed. My discovery channel spider senses are telling me it deals with evolution. You can't possibly be telling me you believe human origins only date to 6000 years ago, or 6000 bc - whichever, they're both equally ridiculous. I've watched Religulous so I am aware that there are some pretty absurd beliefs out there.

Just in case you haven't caught on, yes I am mocking you - it only seems fair at this point. I am fully aware that mainstream science can easily be proven wrong, this has been proven time and time again, which is why I asked originally what you were talking about.
 
all i gotta say is that first main video that started this thread gave me the heebyjeebies...... you know something gets your mind goin when the hairs on the back of your neck stand up and you start to realize after seeing the different things in life and are able to tell real from fake that things like this are actually possible and most of them are real it starts to play in your mind....ive always entertained the thought of some very off the wall things i wont get into but i will say this i do agree with the thought of extraterrestrials are out there and as relatively plausible as the paranormal (which i believe strongly in) .....

sorry if none of that made any sense my mind speaks and my fingers dont always follow....:poke:

Maybe they are here to farm us?
Lots of abductions with folks never turning up and these are only ones in countries that report it. Imagine how many third world folks just up and disappear?

Somewhere there could be lots of people being farmed for all kinds of reasons we can't imagine.

and its not possible that missing people are just... missing, and not abducted by aliens?

Maybe the guy got abducted by some (human) person intending him harm? Maybe he got killed on his way home? Maybe he owed money to the mob and ended up swimming with the fishies? Maybe he got drunk and quite literally got lost? Maybe he just got sick of the wife b1tching?

I dont think missing people can be said to be abducted by aliens. Besides, if they were smart enough to get here, dont you think they would keep the people the abduct, so that they dont go telling everyone else? Thus all the stories of people being abducted by aliens, we would never hear of.
 
All I see are alien tour busses showing what Earth used to look like "Before". If UFO sightings increase significantly in the next year, I can only assume that something big is gonna happen on Dec 21,2012.
