Afghanistan....

Unless you are coming under artillery fire then the hole is never deep enough.
Yes, the military situation never crossed my mind . . . personally I've always tried to avoid conflict and war. Pretty easy to do way up here at the top of the world . .

It's well over 100K they have gotten out and this was not a failure, it was the biggest airlift under war conditions ever attempted and achieved. This was a no-win situation and I think everyone knew there would be casualties. The military found themselves having to defend an exposed position with possible combatants flowing through it day and night.

Any way you look at this it was our guys pulling off another miracle. I was sure someone was going to shoot a C17 down. And Trump released 5K of the most dangerous terrorists into the area before leaving office.
Slightly off topic...That number is pale by comparison to the number of felons Newsome Gruesome and the dimtard California legislature released into the streets where law abiding citizens live.

Slightly on topic... how many arms and munitions did JB leave for the Taliban to use on our troops, citizens, and Afgans supporting American contractors?

I guess in your opinion Trump set up Biden to fail... Since Biden is such a capable leader it has to be all Trumps fault... right?

Ask yourself just how did any (current or previous) administration intend on retrieving all this military equipment and weapons?

The ANA/ANP were SUPPOSED to be fighting with them, not leaving them for the enemy...

Pretty hard for the coalition to gather in the weapons, vehicles and equipment when the Taliban are already in possession of them.

The only answer to keeping Afghanistan safe was to have a sizeable NATO force permanently positioned there conducting security.

There are too many finger pointers trying to lay blame on anyone they can...

You retrieve it the same way you got it there. Smart leaders figure out a way to protect it while drawing it down. One way it to make the air superiority factor so strong that its just not worth it for the Taliban to get anywhere near it. Does the terrain and local population center make that impossible to do? I don't know.

I find it hard to believe that we didn't know the general mindset of the Afghan military before this got the the stage it is at.

Moving on.... Biden will blame Trump... its the perfect excuse to a failure like this one. In fact... isn't everything Trump's fault? The covid thing was going to happen whether of not he won in 2016. Gain of function research continues at the lab in Wuhan... I can't think of a better place for a cruise missile to land. The border crisis is intentional... Biden green lights the world to come and stay. The stimulus effect has distorted the work ethic of millions of working Americans to some degree. The build back bloated bill will inflate the pockets of many politicians and connected contractors... it really is "situation normal" for the leftist agenda to subvert this nation into chaos. I haven't even mentioned until now the fallout from the "Woke" crowd and its impact on this culture in America... It appears the left is getting better at practicing racism with its cancel culture practices.

I'm not sure of your background...if you've been in a combat zone or Afghanistan..

We as a coalition were there in force for 20 yrs and the Taliban have retaken Afghanistan in record time...The coalition were drawing down but it's really hard to take away the equipment and weapons from a military you were training to defend their own country. I personally would have gave them (for the lack of better words)....less capable equipment and weapons but for some reason they got the top of the line gear....my wife said was there no way to make it so we could "scuttle" the vehicles and large equipment....I said sure as God made little green apples, someone would be sitting there saying "what's this do?" and blow themselves up....

All indications pointed to the ANA/ANP would fight for their way of life....those indications went out the window...

As for the rest of your post...not sure-the world is evolving and changing...maybe not in the direction we want but we have little power to change it...the only good thing for a take away from all this, no country is immune to these changes and every country is quickly losing it's traditions, history and culture.

What you call moronic, narcissistic and other smears as it relates to Trump simply shows us your opinion.
After causing an insurrection at the capital, I decided to include the “moron” category. Yes, that is my opinion.

The rest….

A profile of Viking personality types, to which some would refer to as a predominantly “green” profile is not a smear. It is simply a profile understood by anyone who has done profiling of executives.

Most very successful CEO’s rate pretty high on the narcissist scale.

Vikings are simply people who are hated by some and liked by others. They normally offend a lot of people, but get things done fast by cutting through a lot of BS. They are excellent doers, problem solvers, but not good at team building. They do not accept losing, something very clearly demonstrated by Trump after he lost the elections.

There is a valuable place for them in society. I have turned factories which were a mess for years around in less than six months, by putting a Viking in charge. But shortly after that one has to find the Viking a different assignment, otherwise half of the team resigns.

Hence my comment that I am pretty sure the Afghanistan exit would have been very different if it was handled by the previous Administration.

Motherfucker was packed with thirty or forty pounds of explosives plus ball bearings so it was pretty loud.
Yep, they are loud and messy...I won't go into details but there's nothing fun about body parts raining down around you...

Thank you for the through explanation.

As far as winning or losing the election... this election was a total sham... its seems most people around the world could see that... however... the TDS is strong here in the USA.. and so... those folks think Joe won fair and square because they hate Trump.

Viking personalities could also be considered a type "A" personality. Type A personalities are prevalent in many business settings... especially construction. Trump is a builder.

As far as people quitting... some people have sensitivities that can't handle type A personalities. So, they take things personally and quit when they get butt hurt... When you die you end up letting go of everything... some people never let go until its to late. Letting things go when dealing with a type A is a mind skill... its emotional intelligence... books have been written about it.

Money is the lifeblood of business... this country is in dire straights financially and if someone with the energy to redirect it doesn't start steering the USA in a sustainable direction... its over for the dollar. I really believe its to little to late at this point. Marxism is marching right along now... only a reset where we give up more freedoms will relieve the stress of red ink totaling in the trillions and beyond anything we can manage successfully is right in our collective faces now. If we all paid 100% of our collective income ( not converted to cash assets ) to pay down the debt to a manageable level it still would not be enough to make it happen.

No president will ever fix our situation as it stands now...

However... it now makes sense that one decentralized Bitcoin is now worth about $50,000 of US government centralized fiat money. How did that happen? lol ! We know why, but that is a whole other discussion.

I just read the coalition took over 110,000 people out of Afghanistan...that's a good sized city worth of people and yet there are people still complaining it wasn't enough..???? Is it expected that everyone in the entire country gets relocated to other countries?

These people were not willing to fight to sustain their way of life and yet we bring them to our countries where we expect they may have to fight to sustain our way of life in some capacity...an expectation which has already been dispelled....

If the people of Afghanistan are so against Taliban rule, they need to take it to the streets and mob the Taliban with whatever weapon they can find and use each and every time they see one...pretty hard to kill off an entire nation of millions of people...the Taliban will eventually either get the hint or run out of people.

...sadly we know this will never happen and the people of Afghanistan will return to their sheep-like lives under Taliban rule....while the rest live in our countries and complain about how our governments have let their people down...

I agree with you that the number of evacuated people is something to be applauded. At the same time when you consider the thousands still left there that could be discovered and captured for ransom or tortured and killed is a horror I don't want to read about when the stories are published. I can't imagine being a journalist in Afghanistan looking for a way out at this point in time.

What you said here... If the people of Afghanistan are so against Taliban rule... is similar in concept to what happened on January 6th.

When courts will not review evidence a case is lost before it begins... if you believe ignorance of the facts is the right thing to do then we will never agree about how the presidential election of 2020 was conducted. People forget what kind of intimidation and fear mongering as well as bribery and extortion goes on behind the scenes that never sees the light of day in the press until its too late to reverse it.

We live in a world with rich people that have a strong desire to rule over us.... and Biden is the perfect puppet for the job of president... just ask the CCP... they helped get it done. CCP money reaches far and wide these days... it is how they operate... books have been written about it by people close enough to it to know with certainty the corruption exist.... and yet... people like to use the words coined by the CIA back in the 50s... conspiracy theorist. Deniers will deny...

Not even close...there is no democratic process in Afghanistan....there are no police forces or military to protect them and the judicial system has collapsed..

There is absolutely zero comparison to what happened Jan 6 in the US and what should be happening in Afghanistan in order for them to maintain their way of life...

What exactly has changed in your life since the former administration lost the election?? Has your personal life changed due to the changing of administrations?

I know when there is an election here, little if anything changes drastically...

The media is having a "hay-day" with this Afghanistan business.....lots of forlorn pictures of down-trodden people and Taliban with sticks and what not....

I've just read where former employees in Afghanistan are feeling betrayed by the western militaries who employed them and are now leaving them to the fate of the Taliban...

The threat of Taliban invasion and reprisals have never gone away even from the on-set of the war and the people of Afghanistan were always well aware of the threat level-yet they stayed there.

It has been over 8 yrs since Canada employed Afghanis with our military force yet there was no effort to remove them or look after them in any way, shape or form over those 8 yrs...now it's a panic.

I feel for the people of Afghanistan but fail to understand how it became the duty and responsibility of the western nations to extract half the country as part of a refugee program. When there were millions of Syrian refugees flooding out of Syria due to ISIS, I never heard of one western military going in and extracting those people, they left them to their own avail....was it right? That is the question...

Maybe this will set a new precedence....western militaries will be expected to provide this same sort of service to any and all countries experiencing the same issue as Afghanistan.

Each nation is made up of people’s with their own particular values which in the end blends towards a predominant culture. In the first world countries, human life is respected in the third world there is less or no respect for human life.

Personally protecting American values and culture is pretty much on the top of my list. If we do not protect our borders and we are not careful about who we bring here, those Amercan values are at risk.

I can remember Oxford street in London during the early 90’s, safe, social and a great gathering of folks enjoying life late into a Friday night. Today, it is not safe to do that, there are homeless people sleeping on staircases, it is a mess. No borders, the result of people with different values migrating into the country.

In short, to answer your question, we should put the interests of America, our own people, first and stop interfering elsewhere.

Moving away from Afghanistan, below is an interesting link, of the kind of behavior we should guard against bringing here.

Talk about the real version of using a human shield.....how do you fight against that sort of ideology...

Immigration founded most countries but in today's clime I notice the people who immigrate for the most part are remaining in their own groups and not integrating within society and expanding their horizons by leaving their comfort zone.

I was posted in Toronto Ont in a military HQ and was often taken aback when driving through some areas as there would be street signs in different languages....I thought "am I still in Canada?" I am all about immigration and diversity as these both make a country stronger and well, more interesting but I feel there has to be more done to integrate these immigrants into our society so it's future will survive...

There was a time here when the word "Christmas" as a big deal and we were shunned to say "Merry Christmas" for fear it wasn't an inclusive season...I could only imagine if we were to not allow Hanukkah or Ramadhan to be spoken or exist...I've participated to a limited extent in both of these and found them to be interesting...I've participated in Eid and found that to be stellar.

Even the Islamic Imam of Canada had a piece in the Toronto Sun one year stating he and his family celebrate at Christmas time...his kids love the lights and tree and love getting presents.
