We have to be one of the only countries in the World where you can enter the country without permission and get benefits of those who where born to the country legally or entered the country legally.
I just don’t get it, at some point we Americans needs to say enough is enough, you came to America for a reason, do not try to change America! The language here is English just like the language in Mexico is Spanish and French in France. If I choose to leave the USA and go live in Mexico or any other country I’m not going to protest because I can not find an English ATM or anything else. Wouldn’t dare of thinking to fly there flag upside down! heck, you might get killed or put in prison.
When going to work I would expect to speak the language of the country, If you where in Germany and working in a store and didn’t speak German, you wouldn’t last a day! If France they would spit on you and in Italy well lets just say you would be called everything in the book and then some.
Where does the line begin, some simple changes could be done to start to define the line, fist no ID cards or divers license with proof of citizenship, passport birth certificate or green card. Next no benefits without proof of citizenship, no food stamps, welfare, medical care. Last is employers do not hire anyone without a social security cards and change the system so that proof of citizenship is required to get a social security card.
Those simple steps would save the US billions each year and make the US less attractive to come too without doing it correctly. I’m all for immigration that’s how my family came here less than 100 years ago, but they came here falling the rules and they came here to become Americans not to change America.
