Brake fade after parked for 4 days

They do...but if the gen3 MC is at fault, it can only be a bad seal, or an out of spec or damaged piston or cylinder bore.
That will cause an air leak, and will lead to a spongey lever and failing brakes.
BUT, assuming that is the case, I cannot understand how you can build brake pressure back immediately, and retain brakes for a long period of time.
That also applies to a leak Anywhere in the system.
So that leads me to think that the fault must be in the ABS pump.
Consider it is pulsing fluid at high rates in fractions of a second to create the on/off/on/off effect that is ABS braking.
I am unfamiliar with the gen3's ABS system, so I cannot comment on it's exact mechanical function.
But, they are not complex parts, rather just rapidly opening and closing valves.
I have seen one brake line and one clutch line(gsxr1k rear and Bking clutch) fail.
No fluid leaks, nothing.
No amount of bleeding would fix them either. Both were sucking air, but with 3-5 layers of the line, no fluid could escape.
There is obviously air getting in the system somewhere, and we know that air will eventually move towards the end of the lines, to the calipers and the MC's.
The rapid action of the ABS pump seems to be the only part capable of moving the fluid in the line, and therefor the air in the line that quickly.
The only info that I can find on the gen3 ABS pump says that it is a gen3 specific part only as well, so it's not a gsxr transplant, but rather based on it.
It's also been proven now that bleeding doesn't fix this.
I also wonder what the odds are that a defective ABS pump was replaced with another bad part.
There's no telling how many bad manufactured anything make it to suppliers.
I would think and hope Suzuki's QC is taking a serious look at all the braking components.
For as long as this has went on, it's gotten pathetic on their part.
DO SOMETHING SUZUKI!!!!!!
I agree I have slowed my spirited rides down quite a bit and I am even changing out the brake pads soon. I have 3800 on mine and so far no issues other than never getting enough of it.

Maybe they did replace the entire brake system...maybe they didn't.
I don't trust dealers.
To Anyone bringing their gen3 in for supposed brake part replacements, you should buy a blacklight marker.
Put a mark on the abs pump and whatever other parts.
Shining a blacklight on the mark is the only way to make the mark visible.
Video the process.
If they don't swap parts...legally you've got them, social media, local news, and court, with a brake issue...that's not to go over too well.
I would also mount a Go-Pro camera or phone camera and point it at the brake lever, to show failure in motion and in real time.
Cover your own ass, as the Dealers will not.
I hate reading these posts too, this is a terrible situation on so many levels.
I hope none of you or your bikes get hurt as a result, and that this is fixed asap.
I will be taking video every time i back out of the garage now. Ill eventually get the footage to prove whats happening.

Don't your front pads have that funky wear pattern too?
One normal and one through the wear line on each side?

I had my Tech read this thread and he also suggested bleeding the brakes. Yesterday, he did find some air in my system and got it out. (He also mentioned that he's had to bleed new HD, Victorys and others, over the years; also, some systems are pre-built at various factories and shipped to the assembly line, so it could have happened at the Chinese Brembo sweat shop.)

OK where did he find the air? Which bleeder?

I jumped on my Gen 3 this morning to ride to work and the brake lever went right to the grip. I have 3,000 miles on it. It had only been parked for 2 days. I guess I need to make an appointment. This is my third Hayabusa and I have never had this happen before.
Update on the brakes. I took it in for the 3,750-mile service (and a new back tire) and told them about the brake issue. The technician said that he had not heard of it (yeah, sure). They replaced the fluid and bled the front brakes. I jumped on to ride home (in a south Florida rain) and as soon as I grabbed the front brake lever, it went right to the grip. I pumped it up a few times and it felt much better than before. So far, it has been fine. We will see.

Why did you not turn right around and give the bike back to the dealer? You are at risk.

It sounds like they did nothing as well, unless the bike was left for several days after someone approved that the bleeding actually worked.

Do they use Suzuki fluid or aftermarket fluid? The change in appearance would prove to you that the fluid was swapped.

Sorry, I didn't think to ask where he found the air in my system, but I'm not sure that it matters.
I just checked it, and it went all the way to the grip. It was 'worse' than usual, but it has been sitting for a couple of days without me checking it.

Something is seriously wrong with the brakes on the gen 3 and a TSB or recall needs to be done before someone dies on one.

I just hit 2,000 miles, when I jumped on the bike 2 days ago after sitting for 2 weeks I had brake fade when I went to start her. I initially noticed my brake for my rear pedal felt soft almost non-existent and when I grabbed my lever on my handlebars squeezed it all the way in once it immediately built pressure. Afterwards on both the pedal as well as the handlebar brake for the front was back to normal. That makes me wonder if the ABS module is that fault.

Literally the only thing I did before pushing the bike into the garage was I washed her.

I see multiple accounts of people getting master cylinder swapped out, or the brake lines bled and people chasing a ghost. So.... Is this the ABS issue?

The brake level never has any tension after a brake bleed. Question is if tech pumped brakes AFTER the bleed as he’s supposed to to prime it. If he didn’t, then I would t worry about it.

So on my way down the rabbit hole and I got an idea. Has anyone tried spreading the pads out to force fluid back up the system? Air usually goes up not down....

I've had a similar issue with my 2nd gen for years and it's not just when it's been sitting it's non stop like there is air in the system but I've bled them countless times all thru out the system and just can't get the lever to where it should be. I can pull out and they work fine but just come too far to the lever before activating but if I give it a quick pump then it's out where it should be. I've learned to deal with it because at least with mine when it goes all the way back the brakes still work. Hopefully they'll get this figured out on the gen3 real soon and I honestly feel like it's gonna be something in the abs module which is where I think my issue is but since winter is fast approaching I'll have mine figured out by next season no matter what. Maybe someone should contact suzuki directly and give them a link to this thread so they can see how many people are having the same issues just in our small family.

I am cruious that did you ever repalce front brake master cylinder to solve the problem?

Sounds like a slightly warped rotor...

I had a similar issue with one of my bikes and chased my tail for a while until a tech mentioned it might be that, I pulled the rotors and when I laid the first one on the work bench, I saw the slightest amount of light underneath one...I replaced it and never had that issue again..

Not saying the gen 3 has this issue, there definitely needs to be an investigation by Suzuki for that issue.

Wait the org has a Facebook page?

lol, yep, scroll to the top of the page, look in the center, the link is there.
