Also, just FYI, for the most part cell phones do not work on/around the gap, so you will want to make sure you know where you are going prior to getting too close on 129 and the surrounding areas...... OnStar is the best for the area and even it sux pretty much on near the fugitive damn over to the outlook

I just booked one of a very FEW rooms left at the Phillips Motel. Rates are pretty cheap but the guy there said that "tell them folks to get to bookin, we are running out of rooms"

so get to gettin if you are comin and stayin there

Has anybody booked one of the cottages?

We can pile 5 or 6 in each one of those. They also have a room under the resturant that will sleep a bunch. Its really cheap around $75/night plus you get your own 5am wake up from upstairs.

well I just booked a standard room....hopefully it doesnt have a heavy cig smell, he only had one room with one bed left that was non-smoking.... worst case, get a room at the resort if this place fills up, but the price was just as good as the resort and sounds nicer

I booked a room. My wife is thinking about coming. I have invited my brother in law who rides a 02 Busa. And one of the guys I work with may come as well. Who know everyone may decide to stay home and I will have the room to myself...lol.

Thanks for asking. I just know the place under the resturant is great for a bunch of guys. We even had 10 in one of the cottages one year, lol.

My wife is going to be there too. She doesnt ride so shes just going to hang out like last time.

Coincidentally I'll be in the area around those dates. I'm running an IronButt Coast-to-coast in 50 hours (50cc) starting in San Diego and ending in Florida around the 11th and 12th of April. Then I'll scoot up to Richmond and Fredericksburg to visit family. I had intended on heading back to Colorado via Deals Gap so I can ride it again. I made the run on my Harley last time so I'm doing it on my 'busa this time. It'll be Thursday or Friday though.
