Busa Touring Mods - got any?

Hey I have done some trips as well and im working on getting some more mods for my busa. I went to indianapolis from New Jersey to go watch the Motogp last year and took my fiancee with me ont he back. Took us about 14 half hours. Here are some of the pics I took of the bike.

Still working on some more Mods. Right now I have a pair od saddle bags Cortech expandable, a Tank bag great for camera, phone water snacks documents etc. small stuff. windscreen is doubble bubble, it asctually helps with less wind onyour chest. I have now ordered the GOPRO camera waiting on that and some good weather to start riding again

The bars and pegs really helped un-cramp the riding position. I added the extra lights for night riding as a I do quite a bit of that and they were worth all $700 to see the critters well off to the side of the road. I stole that idea from Warchild. I just took a quick jaunt from Salt Lake City UT to southern Georgia last weekend and took the scenic routes. Did well over a thousand miles each day. My favorite riding position is propping the chin of my helmet up on my tank bag and putting my shins up on my rear pegs. I can go for hours in that position!

There are three more things that I want to add as money becomes available:

Centerstand - really became apparent that walking the bike in the parking lot was not a great way to oil the chain. Adjusting it was completely out of the question!

Autocom - Expensive little bugger and not the easiest thing to find parts for. Once I saw Captain's setup in use I was sold. I finally got the distributors number in SLC so hopefully will get everything I need!

Aux Fuel Tank - I already have an aux fuel tank that I built mounts for and use for rally's but I cannot have it and my rear top case at the same time. I want to build a tank that will fit in my case but still leave room for other items there. It would be nice to not have to stop every 150 - 200 miles if I don't have to when touring.

One thing I'm still considering:

Chain Oiler - again, another thing I heard about from Warchild posts. Fairly expensive but looks like it really does a superior job to constantly keeping your chain lubed as opposed to the once in a while spray job.

you might want to check this out before doing that, i don't remember where i purchased mine but i saw Uncle Steve using one and got my own to use while traveling...it works great!

hey all, I recently moved to Germany and purchased a 1999 Busa. It had a Bagster tank bag and I wanted to set it up for travelling to the Alps. Over here in Germany there is a "Koffer" setup that "Hepco & Becker" makes. It is exspensive but worth the money. I love it. When I ordered my set they made ALL the KEYS alike. This is nice! Here is a pic of the bike with the "Koffer" setup. Hope you like it!
