let me also state-this was only on interstates.
pulled twice by pig-rigs on city streets and I stopped politely both times. Not risking ANYONE else's butt.
In the old days i'd run for the fun of it,,,but now,no ,because of my wife, nothing i'd do on bike now would ever make it to court,,lol. In north Texas that is.
depends if im riding dirty or not, some times i get pulled over for doing absolutely nothing, and i wont run because i know i didnt do anything wrong...
I have dodged sort of when in ideal circumstances (police going other direction, can't get turned around quickly) but NEVER have NEVER will try to outrun. Too dangerous, police shouldn't be subjected to unneeded hazards on the job, they have enough to deal with.
Did it once when I was young and really super stupid. Now that I'm old and just stupid, I would never do it. As someone else mentioned - I have way too much to lose. Then there's that whole felony criminal record thing that BusaWhipped mentioned - I think he has experience in these matters...
Did it once in 1968, one trip to jail and the accompanying consequences taught me that 99% of the stories you hear about people running from the cops and beating them is BS. You can't outrun a police radio and you damn sure aren't going to outrun a helicopter.
