have to disagree here. Ive outran the helicopter too.... but my bike is a lil more than stock... and i have light kill switches. the radio is the one you cant outrun.

If you are running at night with kill switches for your brake/tail light you might have done it. As long as the helicopter can keep you in sight (don't forget they have FLIR) you aren't getting away. Post the date, time and location and let's see if one of the LEO's on the board can verify your claim. If true you have my humble apologies and kudos, otherwise I stand by my original comment. In some municipalities they have a do not pursue policy and this may account for some of the boosting, but these kudo's aren't earned because there was no contest to begin with. Trying actually outrunning a LEO and his pals that are pissed off and out to put you in jail. Like a bull dog with his jaws locked and there is always a (deserved) beating when they catch you.

My world only. Most riders that stop will get some type of break. If it means a handful of paper in lieu of arrest/impound or a warning for something small. If a rider mans up to being wrong, half of my job is already done. Just my .02. I hate cleaning up MC wrecks and informing family members. That just plain sux.

I have to many friends and others riders on the PD +highway patrol.everyone in the departments know me very well.just not worth it to me.never have run and never will.
It really depends on the place and time. If it looks like i'm gonna get pulled for a BS ticket for lightly going above the limit then i will run if the situation is right. I know that things could happen and that it might turn out to be a bad decision. But that's what using your head is all about. Knowing when to go and when to fold.
