Favorite Mods?

Which lowering pegs did you end up going with?, I'm trying to find a quality set that look almost OEM.
Hi Duro, I bought 2 different sets and had to do some machining to combine the 2 sets, if you’re interested in making a set I’ll be glad to send more photos of the process. Good luck.

I have no performance mods but several comfort and cosmetic mods.

Favorite ones are Yoshi slip-ons, Helibars, lower pegs, upgrade seat and taller windscreen.

Love those mods so much I did the same to my 23 ZX14.

My other mods are Quad Lock stem mount for my battery bank and GPS, tank bag, small wide view mirrors, GoPro and a couple of decals.

My cell phone velcros to the top of my tank bag, works great.

Beautiful bikes, is he style seat worth it? I've been looking at it or a corbin.

It’s definitely worth it to me, It cost a lot less than the aftermarket ones. The styled seat looks way better than the original, it has two different grained materials and sewn with red thread, really looks sharp, and it fits as well as the original. As far as comfort I think it’s better but I have bursitis in both hips so I can hurt in the recliner, others on this forum say it’s way more comfortable.

I went and got one off of ebay and have to say, it is alittle more comfortable.

Which is the better CBX; that one, or the full fairinged one that you have now?
Any noticeable differences, or power curve changes in the exhausts?

Better? Certainly depends on what you want, a nekkid bike or a touring rig with a fairing, windshield and hard bags. Top speeds are about the same and the early models typically cover the quarter in the low to mid 11s. The ProLinks, about a half second+ slower. The 79 and 80s are twin shock versions and the 81s and 82s have a monoshock with air assisted forks and a somewhat different rake/trail. The 79 is more of a hot rod compared to the Prolink 81/82 models. Weight is considerably less. Single pot brakes too. Exhaust note is similar although the Prolinks have a short cross over connector pipe. Not sure what it’s supposed to accomplish. The cams are better in the 79s too but with the 80 (I think) ignition setup they tune about the same HP. I had a full Dyna ignition and coil setup on my 79. Changed the originals when they failed. Never had to do it with my previous 82 and it had 106,000 on it when I sold it. Gearing stayed the same for all years although the 79s came with a giant 630 size chain. Everyone converted to a 530. Better? Whaddyawant? :D
