Favorite Mods?

I can certainly notice a 9.5mm lift in the rear going from a 190/50 to a 190/55 as it’s not just the height difference, it also changes the feel and shape.

I’ve run a few 200/50 and 200/55’s but always gone back to a 190/55.
9.5? oh you mean the difference in diameter? wellllll.. doesn't quite work like that, how high the bike is raised by a larger tire works off of the radius, so basically half of your 9.5 =D

you're right though, a more pointy tire tips in easier. i've tried many, on my yamaha R1M.

back on topic.. does anyone else think its weird that suzuki does things like that one-touch start button function, but doesnt have any provision for switched/ignition-hot 12v power? even my yamaha had a plug that you had to dig out from under the fairings and it provided easy 12v power.

all the stuff ive seen people run on this bike (gps or whathaveyou) was just powered off of a line that was run straight to the battery.

He said a 9.5mm lift/taller, and that the difference in shape changes the feel when handling(which it does).
You can find 12v in the Gen3 tail too.

No. Not diameter. The difference between 50% of 190 and 55% of 190. It’s not the radius it’s the sidewall. The 50 / 55 is the spect ration best visualised as a %. Adding 5% of 190 lifts the rear 9.5mm from the sidewall. The 50-55 isn’t the tyres radius, it’s the sidewall so no need to half it. It’s a view of the sidewall in a single spot.

If you are suggesting the 50 to 55 mod raises the rear less than 5mm you are incorrect.

This is the connector your looking for under the seat cowl.
My pigtail plugs right into is giving you a ignition switched 12v power and ground wire.

Keep in mind it's a 2-3amp maximum circuit, so great for dash cams, phone charges and other small things.

My original red grafix obviously offended one of our moderators & it triggered them into deleting some photos •

I have no performance mods but several comfort and cosmetic mods.

Favorite ones are Yoshi slip-ons, Helibars, lower pegs, upgrade seat and taller windscreen.

Love those mods so much I did the same to my 23 ZX14.

My other mods are Quad Lock stem mount for my battery bank and GPS, tank bag, small wide view mirrors, GoPro and a couple of decals.

My cell phone velcros to the top of my tank bag, works great.

Can I ask which of these 2 you prefer or feel like if you had to pick one to ride ? I’m currently in the market for a new big bike, due to my aging body and already broken pieces thanks to 10 years in the army infantry lol.

this was exactly my deal. i just got rid of the nicest R1M ever (lots of $ in mods) to pick up a 2024 suzuki haya-doin' and its great so far. i'm not fat or whatever, just too old to care about the bleeding raw edge of stuff anymore.

bargain hard while at the dealership, these things are marked down by thousands nation wide. you should be able to get it out the door for 19 at most with no problem, maybe less.

Thank you. I have found a low mile 2023 black model for $14.5k.

Hands down I’d pick the gen 3 Hayabusa mainly for its cruise control. I also enjoy the quick shifter and updated TFT dash and riders aides on the Hayabusa. The ZX14R is so in need of an upgrade. The things I like better on the ZX14R is the seat is a lot bigger and more comfortable than the Hayabusa and the mirrors on the ZX are a little bigger and have more rear view for lane changing. The Hayabusa goes from neutral to 1st like butter while the ZX clunks like a Mack truck. I would say you sit in a Hayabusa like a cockpit and you sit on a ZX14. Both have good wind protection and stability. The ZX14 may be slightly more comfortable on an all day ride due to the larger seat. They both are great bikes but I’d say the split for me is 55/45 in favor of the Hayabusa. I would be glad to have either motorcycle but my top choice is the gen 3 Hayabusa. Photos of both my bikes below. Good luck with your decision.

Thank you sir. Both beautiful machines. I plan on trying out the Suzuki Hayabusa seat and see if it’s more comfortable lol.
