Flashed my first ECU today (pics inside)

I worked up a quick printed circuit board to make wiring easy, will have a 6 pin molex panel connector soldered on the far end, should make for a clean install

May I suggest the molex connector not be mounted directly to the board? If any of the traces on the PCB crack from flexing it could cause a flash update to fail, leaving the Busa ECU corrupted. I had that happen on a Corvette before. We had to erase and re-flash the ECU and pray.

There can be issues with wiring a connector also, this greatly cleans things up, just don't jump on the box while programmibg :)

I usually get in trouble with this one: :banghead:

I was thinking more of a box mounted plug wired to the PCB. That way plugging the molex into the box doesn't push against the PBC.

is this something we can send to you and you can put on what we want for a fee? if we tell you what mods we have can you know what to put in? or is it best we just buy the unit and do it ourself? is it easy to program like a pc? thanks

a free hanging plug is no problem, it could just be wired to the pcb, but would be less robust in my opinion, plus it adds extra works or sorta defeats the purpose of a pcb, i am already doing this on some of my stuff that headers weren't added to the boards and it sucks LOL

As far as mapping, no such thing as tell me what mods you have an make up a map, the best way is always on a dyno or logging data and tuning.

if you just want an increased rev limiter and 6th gear de-restricted yep thats no problem i could do that for you, but for the price of building you own unit, or buying a pre-made one from me, its hard to argue, 1/2 price of a power commander with lots more options.

SHIFT LIGHT ADDED...Controlled by the ECU!!!

Plug and play, it took me under 5 minutes to install it and re-flash the ECU for it to come on at 10,800 RPM, limiter at 11,500 actual I think, man thats a long way to rev LOL

I unplugged the flapper valve, and got power and the input for the LED right there using 2 male spade connectors, works perfect, and cheap too!

Damn that skipping 2nd gear, trans is coming out very very soon

Will a stock cammed busa make power up to 12,000 rpm?

No, Dave O set the stock-cam limit on 05's to 11.3k I believe. If you're going to swap cams, then you might as well shim springs. "THEN" you'll be making power AND you'll have the tension at the spring to keep up !! :super:

circuit boards are at my house..........but i am at work still for another 1.5 hours, then hour drive home :(

I wanna play LOL
