Flashing the 08 / ECU Editing software for GEN II Busas

Was going to post pics tonight but just HAD to go ride instead. Sorry, but this thing just flies now. Very happy with the flasher, by the way, when is Petrik getting that Powercommander to ECU flasher software working? I haven't been watching this lately so when he does I would love to know about it. I can't wait to mess with my fuel map. No big deal Toxsick, got it to flash three times now and loving it. Thanks for the picks man.

Petrik already has the PC & Bazzaz map converter finished(for testing anywayz)! You can load the Maps in EE2 right now to the TPS Map, only thing we have to figure out is the IAP map side. This might prove to be pretty difficult without a Dyno?? I was gonna load my Bazzaz map today and try to tune IAP with my Wego3(wideband), but ran out of time.

Here is the ecu plug when you turn it upside down to get at the open plugs. Notice the locations of my two ecu wires, blue and brown. THESE ARE BACKWARDS. Put yours in the opposite locations or you will not be able to flash properly. Just had to post this note in case anyone else didn't see the earlier thread. :banghead:

Here is the Yosh black plug that you use to connect to the ECU flasher. Notice the locations of the two wires and these are the easy ones to put in. The two wires at the ECU are very difficult to get all the way in. You have to get a small screwdriver or a pick to push them until they click. It seems like forever until they are completely in. You can take off the orange plug on the front of the ECU connector by releasing two small tabs on the sides to gain a view to the front to see if your plugs are all the way in. Just to let others know in case you have problems getting this to work.

This is another picture that shows the orange covers on the ECU plugs and the location of the yosh plugs in the compartment. This is before I tied everything down and got it looking nice. I have to say that the cords that come with the ECU editor are perfect in length. I have it all hooked up with just the one white plug that goes to the programmer box under the tail cover so I can just pop off the seat or cowl and plug in to the computer. It takes just seconds and the wires are just right. Great job Greg!

i need to start a new thread with directions only maybe, i still fear people aren't going to read the text and just look at most recent pics and wire it backwards LOL

I was wondering if the ECU can be flashed to help with the cold start-up? It takes my bike a few seconds before the idle will speed up a little when starting in cold weather. It can take two or three tries to get it started if it is cold also.

Can this be fixed with the flasher and software?

at this time there isn't anything seperated for cold start stuff, join the hack forum and post up there, Petrik hangs out there and looks for feedback etc, he doesn't visit here that often.

I have successfully installed and flashed my ecu, I bumped down the limiter and back up to test to see if it made difference and it did.

I will post pics tonight with the wires hooked up right ;)

Thanks Greg as the help

Question, is anyone else getting an error message when trying to install the lastest update on EE2? Version 2.0.1.49?

***DISSREGUARD***

i would bet its not out of question considering the bike already has an O2 sensor, if we could plug a wideband in and autotune from that would rock

the factory 02 on the bike, is really small you would still have to weld on a new bung to fix a standard wide band kit on the bike ;(
