if you currently have the bazzaz and afm kit you don't need to flash your ecu unless you want to get rid of your bazzaz and afm kit. the only benefit you would gain from the flash cable at this point is being able to tune your ignition timing out and bump up your rev limiter

I sure do appreciate everyone's business and patience.

As an update, I have about 20 boxes assembled or very close. The harness is what is the holdup at the moment. I hope early to mid next week to have the harnesses all complete and all of the units ready to ship. Hopefully tonight when I get home I will have enough parts to build 6 bench flashing setups, a couple of which are spoken for. These will allow flashing on a table top by powering the ecu from a wall plug through a plug and play ecu connector etc. But this will not allow you to view engine data while on the bike like the normal bike harness would.

The cool thing is that while I am working on getting these setup Petrik keeps adding nice features to the software :)

Ok guys, I just downloaded the latest update from Petrik and it is awsome. It has an imput for PCV maps now and I just downloaded the maps to my desktop and was ready to go and now the new software has a glitch. I go to the drop down menu in the monitor mode and there is no com ports to pick. I was using com4 before and it came up every time and now nothing comes up. It won't let me link up. Just wondering if this is a problem with the software or the user? Any help would be appreciated as I am dying to try out this new software with the new map. Got the map to download into the ECU editor software just fine, just won't recognize my com port now. :banghead:

using vista? probably have to do the admin rights thing again.
i just downloaded latest copied and its working

IT'S WORKING!! Darn Vista. So yes, I did have to redo the program to open as an administrator for it to work. That sucks but yes, you Vista users out there will have to reset the program to run as an administrator with every update. Not a big deal but good to know. Oh and the PCV maps I downloaded from Dynojet's site and then had to open it with a program that unzips it as it is a .zip file. Once you do that it will be in a folder in a format that ECU editor can use. You just pick the one you want to use and save it to either a folder you can find easily or in my case, the desktop. Then open ECU editor and when you click on the "Edit Fuel maps" button it now has a new button on there called "Apply Map". You click on that and it opens a browser to find the file that you download from Dynojet. Then find the file and click open. You will get a few messages, not sure what they said as I was just clicking ok on each one but eventually you will have a page with all the edited map info on it in multiple colors showing you what was changed and to what degree. After that is set, just close it and just flash the ECU and you are done. Easy, thanks to Petrik!

Siealth...... where did you get the download from?

Got it from Dynojet.com, just that they give you all the 09 maps in one file lump in a zip file. Use any unzip program to open them if you don't already have one and save them to your computer. Then pick the right one when you load it into ECU editor and that is it. I didn't have a decent one so I looked on google and am using a free trial one. No big deal since I only need to open it once to save the file to the computer. Hope that helps.

Here is the proof of Vista working with version 57:

Sorry the pics are dark, couldn't use a flash. I will ride the bike tomorrow and let you know. I have two maps to work with as I have "just" slip-ons. So I will let you guys know what the difference is like and how it runs. Just doing the ignition retard elimination made it come alive. Really more of a difference than I actually expected as my expectations were low on that part of it. Sure is wheelie happy in first now, thank god.

Just a word of warning on this Guys.....PC & Bazzaz Map coversion to EE2 is still in "Test" phase. Also when you install the PC or Bazzaz Map it ONLY apply's/makes changes to TPS side of the fuel Maps. Meaning it doesnt even touch the "IAP" side. This side will most likey have to be tuned on a dyno or trial & error....Not sure of the effects it will have in everyday riding??
I was/am going to attemt the same thing with installing my Bazzaz Map into EE2, but i'm gonna try to use my Wego3(AFR wideband)to tune the IAP side, not sure how well this is gonna work though.

Yep, pretty much everything below 10% or so throttle is done with IAP in the ecu. So the cruising around town stuff wouldn't be touched with the map conversions....right now anyway.

Does anyone have an instuction book or tutorial videos on what all this stuff means and what it does. Im new to this ecu editing stuff. I dont want to go and change fuel or ignition maps and mess something up and my luck the bike wont run.
