Does anyone have an instuction book or tutorial videos on what all this stuff means and what it does. Im new to this ecu editing stuff. I dont want to go and change fuel or ignition maps and mess something up and my luck the bike wont run.

JMO, Really the best place to check these things out is the ECU Hack site.
One thing to remember, that should help lesson the stress....is Petrik built the "STOCK" map .bin file into the software, thats the Notice you get when you click file, then K8....it gets automatically generated! So if you do something wrong or get lost and are not sure if what you did will harm your bike, you can just Re-Flash ecu back to Factory. :beerchug:

Couple things I had to add. First off, sorry about not getting any info on the seat of the pants difference after a PCV conversion as it is raining like crazy here and hailing tonight. Hopefully I can get some feedback for you guys tomorrow. Secondly, I know that the map didn't change in the IAP or under 10% throttle, but should I really care that much? I am just wondering, if I am cruising around town or the highway I would probably want the good gas mileage that I get now with the bike and not sure if I would want to change that. I will have to ride it to see if there is a rideability issue with this and let you know, if the weather lets up. I am curious now to see if this will be an issue but I am sure if there is that there will be a way to fix it as everything else has been thought of by Petrik, it seems. I will post again after a ride, hopefully soon. :please:

have fun :) Got about 20 boxes built, just waiting for the last of the parts etc for the harnesses......

have a few bench flashing setups ready that ive shipped out, and a couple more ready to ship, these will flash ecu's on the bench using ac power adapter and a ecu connector, but wouldn't allow viewing sensor data on the bike.

Greg,

I've just been swamped with work and other stuff that I haven't even messed with the bike in a while. Well, I ordered one today!

Thank you (and Petrik and everyone experimenting) for all your help and work on this project. Maybe at the end of the summer I'll get some time to play with it.... :beerchug:

Got to say I am very impressed with my ride tonight. Bike was spot on in the fueling. I didn't notice any problems from cruising to rolling on the gas like I was somewhat expecting. The PCV map worked great. The bike is noticeably stronger now. I just realized tonight that I can't touch the gas if I am going around a corning in first, wants to spin and kick me off.
It seems to run great and the mapping works and the only thing I noticed other than the extra power is the popping between shifts if I am on it hard. It doesn't happen all the time but sometimes. Just wondering if I should do the marble mod or let it be? Not really an ECU editor subject but since this has caused it would it matter if I left it alone? Sounds mean now, might have to leave it.
This thing is great, now I just have to wait and see what else comes out for me to mess with on this thing. Love this programmer and software, a must buy for any K8-K9 rider!

Ok guys,
I just finished the ECU flashing, with help from Greg, THANKS MAN!!!! And thank you Petrik and everyone else participating in this project!!!!! The most difficult thing about this install is getting those wires through the harness and rubber grommet into the ECU plug. Te way I got through this easily was to push the wire through with a micro screwdriver.....worked like a charm!!!

After hooking the harness up to the Busa and then to the computer, the Busa kept on priming the engine over and over and over. I followed the steps that Greg posted up, http://www.boostbysmith.com/gen2.pdf , flashed the ECU and then tried to start the bike. After it didn't start I began to panic but after talking with Greg, he told me that Petrik has been furiously working on the software and came out with another version!!! Found here: ECU hacking

After downloading the software, The Busa primed herself and fired right up! I removed the speed limiter and set the rev limiter to 11,8k! I took her out down the street and she roared. The rev went right up to 11.8k and sounded AWESOME! The Busa did backfire and has always done so I LOVE IT!!! It's her saying get the F*ck out of my way!!!!

EVERYTHING else about this product was "easy cheesy!" Next is to download the maps from powercommander and see how that effects things!!!

Can ANYONE help me out in locating some maps from powercommander V so that I can import them into the software?

Woohoo! Just ordered my flashing cable. Now, what to do with the Boost-By-Smith restriction removal switch?

I guess that will go up for the Pay-It-Forward thread when I get the ECU flashing to work. I'll also be selling the PC3 that I will be removing from my 08.

Tomorrow Dynojet R&D is going to have at with my bike first with the flash stuff and see how it works then. Flash plus the pcv. and then some new top secret thing not sure what it is hoping for some good numbers:) After all that is said and done 50 shot will be turn on finally:laugh: I will post copies of the maps for everyone to see. Also they will do it right since the tuner is a friend he is curious to see what it will make. Kinda a science project before its off to RCC:cheerleader: Hoping for 200 whp with 100 oct but I have a 330 its going thru already made 170 plus with no tune (not even close to right rich lean what not ) **** gas 100 degree temp. Motor is stock compression with some tweaks :)

Also they are say the software looks good but with this new secret thing it will make it stronger we will see all and all a good friday:beerchug:

Glad to hear this! I will be doing the Bazzaz Test tomorrow(son's been sick...hopefully :please: I "should" have time tomorrow).
What Mods are done to your Busa Stealth, and what PC5 map did you use in EE2? :beerchug:

I used the M4 exhaust slip-on program from Dynojet and I am also going to possibly try the Two Brothers slip-on map from them later and see if it is better or worse. They didn't have one for my exhaust. I currently couldn't afford a full system so I bought a slip on Carbon/Titanium FMF Apex set. I love the looks of them and the sound. Very deep compared to yoshimura and also extremely light. I will run these until I get a full system hopefully next spring. I really need to take a few pics of my bike so you can see them as I could never find any decent pictures of any other bikes with this exhaust on. I bought mine hoping for the best and it turned out good. I got a good deal on them so I bought them right away.

I try and download the maps from the dynojet site for pwrcmdr V and it saves the maps as #####.djm These will not load on petrik''s software.

Can anyone help me????

Fishy nothing fishy here at all. What is the problem with dynojet a friend who used to run a race team works for them. He was one of two people that assembled my bike for me. Yes my gf is a engineer but wanted to make sure she had it correct since she doesn't play with bikes and is semi retired. Secret thing has something to do with ignition. I am just another user wanting the best. This is nothing but a science project till I can get it RCC for a turbo. So I am asking what you are trying to get at? :dunno:
