to save the map in the ecu, use the verify button.
get latest software just for the sake of it, also i would join on ecu hack forum and post up there, petrik watches there more closesly
No probs Greg will do .................. just went and brought brand spankin ECU
Will fit it and go again >>>>>>>>>>>>> will let you know how I go.
If you can get bench flasher to me asap would be great Greg and I'll try and resurect the old ECU

GOT IT FLASHED....
My O2 sensor is connected and it runs SUPER SMOOTH... Thanks Petrik, Greg, and all who are involved.... I am one happy customer. I used a map from the PC V (Ti-Force Full System) and I don't think it ran this smooth from the factory..
OH Greg, by the way..... get the Gen II. I promise you , you won't be disappointed.

What would be a very handy feature is a tone to sound when faulting during flash ? Also one to signal end of flash ................. but minor stuff indeed.
Running on new ECU Greg ................. will sort the other out when I get the bench harness.
Have had a few check sum failures when trying to fast flash but if I flash normal alls good. have flashed ECU 9 times now and only errror once .............. just trimming fuel and she's done.

WOW......Are you saying what i think your saying? ??? Did your ECU lock-up(like for good!)during a Re-Flash?? ???
Ahhhhhhhhhh Toxic yep ................... but no need for alarm, I would simply say because it had an error in flash just after erasing it has no way of knowing anything so hence when you key on it just acts dumb as it has no program. I'm quite sure as soon as I can get power to it on the bench will be just a matter of reflashing again. Well they are my thoughts in my comp illiterate terms anyways. 
I add here I have probably flashed fifteen times now (running my saved bin file 11 on bike with all my fuelling changes along the way) and have map finished ............ bike has no TRE and no power commander with a happy rider on board

OB_boss do you mind me asking what your new ecu cost? and also (dumb arse question ahead!) shouldn't your ecu have power with the key on anyway? what difference would putting pwr to it on the bench make? now don't sugar coat it show me just how much of an idiot I am ???:duh:
ECU here in oz $2100.00 Oz dollar ................. as for power ? From what I can see it's cycling power on and off ................ continually over and over, fuel relay is going crazy also. From what i can see software is trying to connect but before it gets a chance it just cycles again ? Probably about once a second. New Ecu is in and mapped so for now I shall leave the old one till I can play on the bench with it.
Now Pearso as for sugar coat it and show me just how much of an idiot I am ....................... damn mister I'm on the "L" plates when it comes to this stuff also .................... now that I'm a "Flash" Master having done my first and only "Flash" and map build today with some great assistance I might add.

$2100! wow that stings a little! I ask cuz I'm in oz too and and looking at getting ecu editor myself it helps to know the consiquences of misshaps and thats not to say there will be any but i also have never reflashed and if any1 can screw it up its me thanks for the help. By the by whereabouts in oz are you?
Pearso in Qld and you ? As for consequences 90% of mine were due to my doing not ECU Editor ................. the main culprit being i kept forgetting to turn of wireless in laptop and also insufficient ram causing "flash" to take way to long (up to 15 minutes) ................ have upgraded ram from 1 gig to 4 gig.
From my experience with it from here on in would be the only way I'd remap busas (or more if it becomes available for other models) as one can offer quality results in a custom built fuel map at a price that wouldn't even cover the cost of a pc let alone dyno time plus with even more features
You know what they say about he who hesitates ? Besides the back up to this is second to non I've ever seen or experienced. Example Petrik is in Finland half way round the world from Oz and probably within 3 to 4 hours of me letting him know there was a problem ................... it was solved. Name a commercial product out there that offers that sort of service This coupled with Gregs products 
puts it at the top of the tree. One things also guaranteed for sure Pearso ................... bet you can't beat the price
New motto for me to my customers is "Would you rather be Flashed or Fleeced* (Fleeced = Aussie slang for ripped off)
Anyone get the impression I'm impressed ?

Ecu shouldn't be locked, petrik and oz boss traded some notes, need to do an ecu verify to download what's in the ecu
