Flashing the 08 / ECU Editing software for GEN II Busas

Congrats bro, you deserve it man.

So with this program we can take a PV5 map and input it into our factory ECU?

I am trying to study up on this for my next purchase, lol

A full exhaust this winter.:cheerleader:

yep there is an import function, not enough people have used it to see if it works 1000000% etc. The tps 0-10% in a PCV or bazzaz map wont translate as the ecu uses vacuum tables in this range to control fueling

I just put 2 of these together for Len in South Africa

this is a pressure sensor that allows you to put pressure on shifter, then engine kills and bike falls into next gear, so you still foot shift, but at wide open and clutchless.

For air shifter push button (my preference) ECU Air Shifter Harness

Greg, the Presure sensor Harness looks Great Bro!
I have been going through H3LL with my current CO2 Air shifter set up! :banghead: Been thinking about going with something like Petrik has on his Bike(Elect)?? The problem I keep having though is with the MPS Adj Regulator(leaks no matter what I do). Dont know if I should just buy a Different brand Reg, or switch to Elect? Any thoughts?

Not on my site, is there any desire fpr these? To make up another would cost over 200 each

Hi everyone:

Just read through this thread. Very impressive work to all involved!:beerchug:
This really shows what kind of passion this motorcycle inspires!

I would like to thank everyone who worked on this to provide this for the Busa community your efforts are appreciated.

I do have a few questions however. My current setup is as follows. I have a Bazzaz unit with Traction Control, Self Mapping module and quick shifter.
To install this system I had to remove the stock bung on my Yoshi R77 exhaust and install the O2 sensor that came with the self mapping unit.
I know I can get the quickshifting feature replaced with ECU flashing, but what about traction control, and what about the self mapping feature of the Bazzar?
I saw and earlier post that showed a Data Mapping Screen shot which appears to be a way to self map the AFR and thus tune the bike without having to dyno the bike (I live in a rural area and no dyno tuner that I am aware of for 2 hr drive)? This would be a very helpfull feature to have.
If the mapping feature is not available will it be in the future?
What about my O2 sensor. Appaerantly the sensor that came with the Bazzaz is a better sensor (that is why the replaced the stock one with theirs), so could the Bazzaz sensor be somehow used with the ECU mapping feature to do data mapping and self tuning? Or do I have to remove the Bazzaz sensor and replace it with the stock sensor? Or do I even need an O2 sensor with this system? It would be a PITA to replace the stock sensor as I have to reinstall the original bung that came with the R77.
Also any way of having traction control added to the system?
I will still be ordering the system as I had a XTRE installed and it really messed up my Gear Position sensor and Temperture gauge. I will be using it to increase the rev Limiter, remap ignition timing in the lower gears, and derestrict the bike.

Any help and advise would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

if the wideband sensor has a narrowband output you could use it with the stock ECU (The innovative LC1 has a mode like this). The ECU doesn't have a self mapping feature, except it does use the O2 sensor at part throttle low rpm conditions for closed loop fueling for better driveability, so my opinion would be you want an O2 sensor in there for it to work with for part throttle cruise.

if it were me id probably sell the whole bazzaz setup, and purchase a LC-1 (less than $200)

paintall stuff generally has better on/off valves compared to the rest,i have personally had to rebuild mine at least 3 times ........the guages are generic..you can find them everywhere....

Matt has excellent products that are well thought out, proven, and he offers excellent customer service. Not saying the local paint ball store can't hook you up, but Matt puts together a killer system, especially if you need a full complete system.

I read some of the earlier posts in this thread but still have a couple of questions. I am installing a Brock's CT exhaust and using the ECU editor.

If I choose not to use the O2 sensor, should I just leave it unhooked or will this cause problems? The Brock's exhaust comes with a bung welded a little further downstream but the bung is too big for the stock sensor.

Any advice?

BTW - The harness/box from Smithabusa works perfect and was super easy to install. I can't wait to get this exhaust on and bike tuned!!!

Thanks,

Rich

i wouldn't leave it unhooked, if anything install the dummy plug on it, but preference would be to have the stock sensor in for partial throttle cruise stuff.

Do you happen to know if anyone makes an adapter to install the small stock O2 sensor in the BIB BROCK BUNG??? That just sounds wrong....

When I import my Powercommander V file thats for my CT full Exhaust system I get several "Max Cell Value Exceeded" errors
