Flashing the 08 / ECU Editing software for GEN II Busas

I haven't updated the software in several months. Can someone succinctly update me on whether the following features are available and debugged yet.

1) Fuel Map Switching (motor map / spray map)
2) Ignition Map Switching (motor map / spray map)
3) Conversion of popular base line motor maps (IE Brocks map)
4) Appropriate input for map switching.

Thanks.

An Xtre alone will cost you nearly as much as a flash kit. Mate if you can operate a playstation you can desrestrict yourself it's that easy

The flash kit allows us to reprogram the bike's ECU for f/a figures rather than programming a PC or Bazzaz unit. You do need the figures first before you can reprogram your ECU directly, though. In addition, you can derestrict your bike's ECU rather than using add-ons to a tuning module. SOUNDS LIKE FUN! Thanks for sharing this info.

Draco I have been using EE2 for a few months now and I recently bought TiForce full exhaust system. I found a map on the dyno jet website for my setup. Some guys told me that it would run very rich at full throttle. I was @ Atco the week B4 the ama race and I flashed that map into the ecu( it does convert PCv maps ) although its not 100% accurate and will run on the rich side, the map worked and I ran my best ET and speed using that map. In using that map I lowered my ET by .2 and raised my speed by almost 2 mph. As far as the map switching you mite want to contact smithabusa(Greg) about that.

Are you using your stock o2 sensor or did you bypass it?
Also which tiforce are you using the short canister or the long version ( muffler ie shorty or the long one)?Reason i am asking is i have a orient pipe (sumo titanium) on my 09 but the sumo is off a 07.I've been trying to find a pcv map for the 08 version of the orient ( i think tiforce)Pipe or the tiforce map.
Was wanting to try my hand:laugh: at converting one in ecu editor2 and comparing it to another good map:laugh: lol.I think that the sumo was mfg by tiforce it looks real similar to the tiforce orient has listed for the 08.
Thanks,maddog

I did get the pcv map for the tiforce pipe and applied it into a base EE2 map.
Oh ya does look like it might be a bit rich on the 80% -100% on the top side.I'm gonna try it as well and see how it goes. But i am also gonna take some of the numbers out and lean it down a bit in the 80% 100% TPS range up on the top side try and take out maybe 2%. Going to lean it out in the 8000rpm and up.
Any advice from any one else here would be helpful as well.
Thankx,maddog

Map switching ahould work just fine

Its easy tp test just install your togle switch inline onpin 58 when you flip switch toggle off data screen will show ms1 instead of ms0 showing u are in secondary map

Hey Greg, By Installing the Toggle Switch....What your talking about is Removing the "Ground" from the ECU via Pin 58 Correct? Just want to be Clear on this. Thanks Buddy. :beerchug:

yes sir, watch it on the gauge data screen, right now your bike should say MS0, if you remove that wire, or cut it in 2, or put a toggle inline and break the connection, it will then read MS1, which is the secondary map :)

MS0 primary map = pin 58 grounded
MS1 secondary map = pin 58 open

I am still using the stock o2 sensor. I got the one with the 380mm cannisters( yes its the dual system) Is the pipe you have a 4-2-1-2 system?

I have the orientexpress 07 SUMO model 4-2-1 titanium very similar to the TiForce - Titanium Exhaust System - Oval Titanium Canister /380mm/Conical End Cap. I plan some time to get a o2bung and put it about 2- 3 inches past
where the 2 -2 come to 1 like the stock head pipe gets exhaust from all 4 cylinders i do believe.
Going to go through some of my old post te get with another member to get me a bung lol.
Thankx,maddog

Good Deal....Thanks Greg!

I already have a pc5 will it do me any good to add this hardware. Every since i added the brock alienhead system and the pc5 my bike seem like it is flooding out sound in cold start, what do i need to do, will this help, where can i get this harness and how eazy is it to install. busababy007

very easy to install IMO, I build them, you can get it from me :) ECU Flashing

You can remove 6th gear restrictions, increase timing, fueling, use ecu as kill box, etc etc etc etc

Greg

smithbusa...offer any specials or a possibly group buy for the ECU programmer for board members?

Also...I saw you have an air shifter setup that is controlled by the stock ECU for a GEN 1 busa...anything like that available for a gen II busa?

Count me in. Anyone else want to buy an ECU programming harness? Need 4 more. What kind of discount can you offer for the purchase of 5?

Do you recommend an air shifter that works well with your air shifter harness?

Does the interface work on ecu type 15H30 ?? that's the type of ecu for busa 08 in Belgium and France<;
(edit: our bikes are restricted to 78Kw, but the restriction can be simply removed by pulling the cable 24 (black-white: controls sec butterflies)from light grey ecu)

bro just to check with you that after flashing and removing the powercut and oso unlocking of the 6th gear, do i need to get it to a dyno n do a custom map?

coz in singapore there isn't any professionals at tuning of the ECU.

Thx.

Any fueling adjustment by any means at any time without a before and after reading is pretty well hit and miss. If no tuner is available your best bet would be to fit a good wideband set up and then you can adjust as is required. :beerchug:
