Flashing the 08 / ECU Editing software for GEN II Busas

Does the interface work on ecu type 15H30 ?? that's the type of ecu for busa 08 in Belgium and France<;
(edit: our bikes are restricted to 78Kw, but the restriction can be simply removed by pulling the cable 24 (black-white: controls sec butterflies)from light grey ecu)

even if the ecu type hasn't been messed with yet you can easily download whats on the ecu and petrik can add it for us, he did this with california models at first.

Is there a post in here that explains the benfits? I've been reading over this thread and kinda lacking on a few things.

If I decide to flash my ecu I still need to go to a dyno tune shop to get an accurate tune. And I don't need any kind of piggy back correct?

Also I can revert back to stock no problems if I sell my bike later on?

Does this disable any features of the gauges or mode selection.

Is this just pc friendy still or is a mac version available.

One more thing has a feature been developed to adjust speedo for diff gearing.

I've been flashed >>>>>>>>>>>>> have you ? :cheerleader:

Once again to Petrik - Greg and all others along the way responsible

quick question... I've been using ecu editor v1 and want to switch to v2. Do I need to just uninstall v1 then install v2 or do I also have to changes the renesis side of things as well?

mac support please. i so don't want to have to partition my drive and run windows, just for the flash. i mean, i'll do it if i have to, but maybe think about a port.

you dont even have to uninstall just install the new stuff, you might have to resetup renesas but that takes just a minute

speedo has nothing to do with ecu, gauges only, the speedo signal goes from the sensor directly to your gauges. I can get you a speedo healer if you need one.

no mac versions, i doubt there ever will be to be honest.

lots of details here on what it does on my site ECU Flashing

of course if you are doing fuel tuning, like with any device you need to have a way to see what you are doing makes sense hp / torque wise as well as air fuel, a dyno or a datalogger with o2 is needed to get the most out of fuel tuning.

going back stock you hit new k8-k9 map, flash it, she is stock again.

it doesn't dis-able any features with gauges etc.

I would get the hard drive partioned or just pick up a used PC for doing bike stuff, mac software support i would be shocked if that happens to be honest.

Your sight was a ton of help. We'll be doing business soon. How difficult should it be for a tuner to understand how to add fuel timing etc with the software. Is there a certain kind it mimicks?
There's a shop here that uses dynojet but if they won't or can't then I'm gonna have to do some traveling.
Know of anyone around tulsa or okc that could tune?

Btw nice bike. Its the true fastest color, so fast zukes scared to put it on one.

i wanna see some pics of your yellow busa :)

Tuning is very easy, just watch the tutorial vids they show everything you need to see pretty much, highlight cells, use the + and - button to add or remove 1 unit at a time, * and / to add or remove 5% at a time.

i put this together a little while ago originally for gen 1 stuff, a guy by the name of tim howard has a shop that bought a gen 1 flasher, but for the life of me can't remember the shop's name

:race:So I haven't gotten rid of my power commander "yet" but I'm starting to do it in baby steps. After perfecting the map over 1.5 years with a datalogger on the PC, its hard to give up. Anyway, my PCIII was hooked up to the lower injectors, and I was finding that the lowers couldn't reliably supply fuel for a 35 - 40 dry shot. Once the numbers in the power commander are over 65 or so, there is no additional response.

So I switched the PCIII over to the upper injectors (3 times bigger), and started tuning the lowers with ECU editor. Still struggling with the IAP tuning, but its getting there. The one limiting factor with ECU editor is time. Even with a high end 64 bit PC, it still takes 4+ minutes to make a change. Mabey someday I'll give up the PCIII entirely, but not this season.

Only takes 4 minutes the first flash with software open, to flash a fuel table again after the first full flash takes 20 seconds

If you are now running upper inj with power commander, and then adding fuel with ecu editor you eventually are going to start setting injector codes if you are adding fuel up top with ecu editor as it controls both sets of injectors

If just doing idle/part throttle wtuff with ecu while pc tuning up top you'll be fine

Also, yesterday a real street bike made made 350 hp with stock injectors and ecu only using boostfuel tuning option with a 3 bar map sensor

He wasn't out of fuel but had a turbo failure that prevented getting any more hp

The flashing time is a bit of a pain but once you've got a fairly good map built in then you're not really flashing nearly as often. I just wish you could flash on the fly withotu having to cycle the pwer and everything, all though it makes sense why you have to do it.
Right now I'm using my PC box to make quick changes and then once I'm happy I map it with the ecu editor and then zero out the PC box map again.
