Riding minding my own. Come to a stop light, in traffic, school bus next too me. Here comes Mr. Dumbass trying to cross the street. He has to come right next to my bike. I leave enough space, plenty of room but he has to walk right next to my bike, right in front of me. I'm talking millimeters when he has 5 feet of walking space from me and the vehichle in front.
I yell and say "ehey do you have to walk right up next to my bike" " There's plenty of room, keep your distance. "
He starts to get all apologetic in a cocky way. The stupid kids on the school bus see the camotion and start yelling " fight, kick his ass,, this and that. Light turns green and off I go. Thinking why are there so many sugarbritches.
Not a minute later here comes the sound of sirens blarring behind me. I go over thinking this cop needs to get by, but NO he's pulling me over. I give him my license and he asked to see proof of insurance, I said I don't have insurance and that I am not required by law to have insurance on a motorcycle. He argues breifly saying all motorists must have insurance no matter what. Whatever. I ask what I am being pulled over for. He said failing to give the right away to a pedestrian. The vein starts bulging from my forehead. I explain to him what happened and if anything how about righting that guy a ticket for jaywalking.
He's in his own little world and does not listen to a word that I am saying. Apparrently there is some law or something that states you have to be 30 feet at all times from a school bus. I said how do I do that if I am in the next lane. I'm suppose to give 30 feet even if the bus is to the side of me? He then HANDCUFFS me and said I indangered a pedestrian and a bus full of kids. And then goes on to rant about his kids and asks if I have kids (no). I'm thinking what in the world does that have to do with anything. This ******* thinks if you have kids that alone makes you a more responsible person or something.
Another cop comes up. He showed interest in my bike. We begin to talk. I tell him what happened. 20 min later he takes the handcuffs off and away we all went. That's it. No appologies or statements about anything just split and went our separate ways.
Can't figure it out. Did the idiot walking call the police, did the cop just happen to be around, did the school bus driver call someone? Weird to say the least.
Sometimes I wish I could just punch these people and not have to worry about my bike getting knocked over.
