Just wondering how many members work out ? I weight 225 lbs and have benched 330 lbs at my best .....before the torn rotator cuff incident .
 
i am 215 right now. last year i did a 1 time bench of 405lbs..now i stick with 315 for reps of 6-8 or if i feel good that day 10.

Yeah I feel your pain..

Before I tore MY rotator cuff.. I was benching about 340 for 5 reps...


Then I lost my workout partner, started to lose mass becuase i wasnt working out as much then WHAM!! torn cuff.

Right now I am off weigths until the begining of April... which will be the 8 week healing time docors recommend.. then I will start lifting again.

I am getting my son lifting so I should have another workout partner for the next few years at least.
 
I have got to get back to lifting......my best was 245 a yr or so ago...my current lifestyle just does not permit enough extra time! High school daughter, horses, small farm to tend to..1-2 acres of landscaped area..not to mention 55+ hours per wk @ work...

He!!, I struggle to find time to ride, let alone lift!!tounge.gif
 
its nice to have a partner. I just wish they would stay. I finally get them strong enough so we can push each other than something happens and they leave. I also lost alot. right now my gym partner is a mp3 player and a energy drink laugh.gif
 
I bench 550+..... on a bad day.... with REALLY tight gym shorts on.... after only 2 hours sleep in a week.... with a........ OK fine, I have no clue what I bench.

But this does remind me of an SNL sketch......

Back in High school I was up to 250ish, but then I stopped (work, no weight set around) I picked it back up when my bro moved back with his weight set, got back up to 170ish, then my bro moved out again, took the weights with him. I have no CLUE what I can bench now..... Gotta start back up, get back in shape.

At one time, about 6-7yrs ago, I was working out 4 times a week. Trying to put a little muscle on my bones biggrin.gif

When I started I weighed 165lbs. One of my goals was to lift my own weight. But by the time I could lift 165lbs(my best ever tounge.gif), I weighed 182lbs. Grrrrrr mad.gif tounge.gif

I doubt I could lift 145lbs now wow.gif

I know I've lost some muscle mass...it doesn't take long.

You might be panther like..... I'm more of a hippo.... or Rhino.... Big, but slow and stupid. And all the other animals secretly laugh behind their backs.

I was benching 245 6-8 reps,4 or 5 sets.

Then I got runover by that mini van.

Now I'm nice and round. laugh.gif 6'1" 210 with a 34 inch waist.

Was 31 in the waist,felt great.

Some mornings now,it hurts to climb outa bed.

Miss the big giant traps the most. Use to do shrugs with 230 on the bar. One day,I hope I can lift again. Right now I'm just too beat up. I wont give up hope thou.

I was a powerlifter before coming in the Marine Corps.... my best working bench was 405 with a bounce. Best competition was 375 with a pause. 'Course, the corps ain't looking for Hercules - kinda frowns on it sort of... so now I am hovering in the 285 range. Did get 305 about a week ago, but it was a good day with all the stars aligned, so until it happens again...no counting it.
