A buddy of mine ( the one that got me into weights again ) , was around your size ...I think 210 . He was benching around 440 .....used alotta dynabol and wind mixtures . When U can bench double your body weight , you're one bad S.O.B.

Well. for me.. you can start by looking at my profile pic.. that is about a year old.

I think that should say something anyway

35 years old, 6' 2", weight 223 lbs., 78" wingspan (long arms suck when it comes to weight lifting - great for swattin shots on the court however) bench 315 max, start off w/ 235 12x, no un-natural BS taken, just consume a lot of protein (eggs, tuna fish, etc.). Drink my @ss off on weekends, which doesn't help (just too many friendly parties and get togethers). I'll go to the gym and be drinking 100 proof bourbon on the rocks later that night. Not the smartest move for busting your @ss in the weight room.

Same here Over Easy . What about chewing tobacco while workin' out .....probably my worst habit . blush.gif

IM 6'5 240LBS, USED TO BENCH PRESS AROUND 110LBS. THEN SHE GOT PREGNANT(WIFE) NOW I HAVE 4 BOYS. THE LAST TIME I LIFTED I MADE TWINS SO SHE MADE ME STOP LIFTING,IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN!!! LIFTING LITTLE WEIGHTS CAN GET EXPENSIVE. slider1.gif

I haven't flat benched for about 14 years, when I was 34 I was 172 lbs and benched 305.  But I realized flat bench doesn't do anything for most athletic events. So I switched to incline bench because it more mimics the muscle use of the polevault. I've never maxed on the incline but in my 4 month lift season I can get the incline to 265# and still do about 25 pull ups, and thats at 48 yrs old.
I mostly try to use body weight activities to keep my bulk down to 180# so I can polevault againest the college kids in the area.  I vaulted 12' today but I'm paying the price now becase I'm so sore I can barely walk. Ouch! At least I always made it into the pit.
