Gen-3 ECU now able to flash/tune…

I was thinking that's what the stacks would do, extend the revs with a little loss in the middle, maybe even gain a little on top, which it did and didn't.
I knew those cams could take a few more revs, and more than I thought.
There you have it, the gen3 IS a refined gen2...who knew, lmao.
I bet with some variations of 3D printed velocity stacks, there are still gains to be made as well.

I'd say it's about tapped...boost will be the next thing to get it moving....

It's the Pair system that makes the noise....the ECU (now) can be programmed to eliminate the Pair like it was able to do on the gen 2.

Mine only pops when I am high in the revs and chop the throttle (coming to a stop for example).
Try the engine smog block off plates. I have used it in a different bike and it works.

Chris just tuned my gen3 with the alien head 2 and sprint f1. Extremely happy with the new feel and power of the bike. He's absolutely right about the throttle response, she feels snappy and clean compared to factory. Front end is really wheelie happy and I need to relearn the bikes characteristics.

Now I just need HTP to finish my estimate for the engine build. I want them to build me a street killer and I'll ship the bike to Chris Moore for tuning consittering they feel iffy with tuning with the Woolich vs Motec. Money's in hand HTP....

Given that the stacks were designed before the ecu could be flashed, I still think there's a little more...and I don't nesacerily mean peak hp.
CarbonWorks made MM 8 different sets of velocity stacks for the gsxr1000, before they found the best design, and later improved the final version.
The guy who designed and machined those billet velocity stacks did a fantastic job, no doubt.
But, given the benefits of a 3D printer, a dyno, and now an ecu flash, it makes it easier to fine tune the parts themselves, as opposed to tuning the bike to what parts you have.
It's still early, I think there's a little left.
And then lets see what cams and stacks can do...200whp??

I have owned a lot of bikes over the last 30yrs, mostly liter bikes but also a bunch of 750, or 750 class bikes when they were the sh!t... I was a track junkie, had some bikes people can only ever want due to cost or rarity. This gen 3 Busa is the best all around bike I have ever owned!! Not trying to sound a certain way, but I could have purchased any motorcycle I wanted to... This bike does everything so well. It's not the best at any one thing sure, but really quick Story the first week I had the bike my mother-in-law got into an accident I let her use my car, my job asked me to help in an area that was 200 miles away from home. No problem hopped on my Busa and Road there extremely comfortable. Do you think I could have done that if I would have bought the BMW or the Fireblade or any of the other class leading bikes. Today's Busa owner has to go into it knowing this is not 1999 anymore the bike has evolved into something so different than what it was originally intended for, and there is nothing else out there quite like it!!

Ya I asked Chris about the stacks video that wasn't posted yet. He told me to wait and he's going to have better options and more videos coming with his own stacks.

Other note, anyone know if the PAIR block offs from the gen2 fit the gen3?

Well according to that Parts Fiche the the pieces when the injection on the head is uses the same part number as a Gen 2 so the block off kits should work. I did it thr cheaper way and just took the feed hose off from airbox to pump and capped the open ports.

With enough money, know how and desire anything can be done....to get to 200 rwhp from less than 190 is a big ask but crazier things have happened.

watched the vid that is impressive, just glad i bored out my GEN2 to 1407cc, my bottom end is 5hp down i think due to OVERSIZE head porting , but above 7,000 it trounces my old GEN2 with 205hp at 9,800 rpm

at some point we will see guys adding 1441 cc on a Gen3 that would be interesting

Welcome back! :D

Remember, the bikes are just now able to be flashed. The gains and improvements will only get better as more things are worked out and people test. Still a great time to be a motorcycle enthusiast with all the other BS going on in the world… :beerchug:
The bikes I was talking about all had filters, flash and exhausts lol.

$615.00, and you too can have aluminum velocity stacks from Cyprus.... too much right now. Hopefully Chris makes up something soon enough.....

Sent mine out Thursday. they had it Friday. Should get it back my Monday, Tuesday latest.... tick tock... we shall see... I will give an update.. NOTE: You can not have a different map in B Mode... Mrs Mafia called me and informed me of it....

No

what does that mean? Do you have same map for a, b and c? So there’s no difference?

No

No, I was thinking of doing a 50shot Nitrous on Mode B.. Spoke with Chris about a month ago and he said just hang on we almost have it. Then he would put a map for the shot in my B mode..... Can't be done I guess due to more restrictions in the ECU... He could do it on a Gen 2.. Or a different map for MR12...
{I should have explained that better in the last post}
So now I'm looking for a 'used' ECU... Someone has to be parting out one sooner or later..lol...
