Truly, you have to hand it to Yammie Noob.........then there's this guy.....
I didn't know the torque curve falls off so much with a stock gen 2....
Given its country of origin, I would say this is its back end design inspiration.
I enjoyed seeing the comparisons. The 3 is nicely refined. No gas tank bolts! And that silver looks amazing. Its Japanese but shows gen 2 as well for comparison... these videos crack me up!
The gen 3 is quite a bit sleeker than a gen 2...I never really got those bulbous intakes and signal light pods...the new bike took care of that.I enjoyed seeing the comparisons. The 3 is nicely refined. No gas tank bolts! And that silver looks amazing.

I agree the new bike is much more sophisticated aesthetically. I think the Gen 1 is brutal in a charming sort of way, the Gen 2 is a bit more refined but the 3 is pretty impressive visually. The gen 3 is quite a bit sleeker than a gen 2...I never really got those bulbous intakes and signal light pods...the new bike took care of that.
The next big issue will be fairing removal...will they have made it easier or harder I wonder?
Yes a lack of Suzuki dealers in Ontario at least is an issue. My somewhat annoying BMW riding neighbor had a good point when it comes to bikes in our area...
We only have a Honda dealership locally and the nearest dealerships for the other makes is 60+ miles away. Any servicing that has to be done by a dealership becomes a pain in the arse. His Beemer HAS to go back to the dealership for it's servicing. My buddy who just bought a new HD has to have it go to the dealership for maintenance or his warranty is voided.
With less and less Suzuki dealerships out there, hopefully the Gen 3's computer can be reset by the user and not the dealership...
A good friend of mine owns a dealership which had Suzuki, Kawasaki, BRP, HD and Honda...he now has BRP and Honda left as Kawasaki and HD were uber demanding...he couldn't justify their product sales with their display demands...Suzuki let him know as part of their global restructuring they were cutting smaller dealerships.Yes a lack of Suzuki dealers in Ontario at least is an issue.

Can't really argue with that, solid logic. I like the g3 but wish they went bigger, I think it's all about cost, which isn't necessarily a bad thing since it saves customers money too. Still, they probably did this because they don't have to worry about the competition of the zx14 anymore. You made a bike that has performance improvements that are important to the average rider instead of making a larger engine that would loose the bulletproofness and character of the old engine. That was your choice. Somehow Kawasaki made a bike with a larger more powerful engine that didn't loose the character or bulletproofness of the old engine. A lot of potential Hayabusa owners will buy a 14R and that will be their choice.
