Gen 3 Latest report ..

Yessir just like gen 1 but holy cow the symbols on this bad boy is getting worse then a harley it's even in the headlight...

Milking us for every penny boys... I think suzuki is taking some notes from Harley... even on the website they now sell packages for accessories for $1200 and it's called the gold package lol

I'd take all this talk with a grain of salt....

The gen 3 isn't THAT powerful......it is only has a marginally better mid range than a gen 2 and most of the liter bikes stomp the gen 2 and not just by a little bit.

Remember the liter bikes are around 100lbs+ lighter and have more hp-they are in a different league than a Hayabusa. And the H2SXSE is a detuned touring bike...the standard H2 is a different animal however.

I am a big Hayabusa fan too but am also a realist.
Superlike..

Jacket is sweet but did it really need suzuki at the bottom...

YES !

"Yes it does need to say Suzuki".....I'd like company brand on something that spells-it-out for everyone. Instead of "Hayabusa" on everything like all the other gear.

Seems kind of redundant to wear a Hayabusa jacket when you're riding a "Hayabusa".

Just like my old AMA Suzuki t-shirt !. I like that a lot. Like you need the worda all over your gear when it's obvious you're sitting on a .......wait for it......."HAYABUSA"...

Sure we're proud of our choice, but I don't need the ego validation around other riders is all.....

Don't mind it just wish it was grey like the rest of the symbols so it doesn't show scuff marks as easy since it will be rubbing the black bumper on the rear seat cowl and reading the fine print under jacket and it says artist rendering and subject to change... I sure hope it doesn't !

Around here having the word "Suzuki" would be helpful as people always asks me "who makes that bike?" even though I still have the Suzuki words above the headlight...

Gen3 is indeed quicker from the off, the low and mid range is noticeable, my Gen2 may have more top end rush. but on the road Gen3 seems as fast with no fuss.. i test rode one at the weekend, North America will agree once these bikes hit your pavement in June

Agreed, I can see that. Good to have some more rider insight..

It isn't a liter bike and shouldn't have to held in the same regard as those bikes, that's where I was going with that statement.

I can see the gen 3 is tuned in much the same way the old Bandits were.....they used the same engine as the old GSXR and were tuned for low and mid range punch whereas the GSXRs were more peaky and had a higher top end rush...

Just for comparison, in the mid 90,s I was still working in the industry. We had an E500 V8 pushing around 320hp, which was good for those days. We were experimenting with a 1600cc 4 cylinder, RPM at around 18,000. We managed to get higher hp than the V8. We dropped it into a E500 body and it was test driven for months, by just about everyone n the development and management teams. On the track it ran away from the 500 with ease, but it was a pain to tap that power at high rpm on the road.

So in short, for drivability it is hard to beat torque at low RPM, ask anyone who has both a Busa and a 1k.

Just imagine if they did all that work for midrange grunt, then surprised us with a 1441 factory engine.. With the electronic smarts, would've been legendary

Have they improved any of the access to things like the Oil Filter, or Fuse block on the Gen 3? Or would that also be asking too much? This bike was clearly not made for the American market, or we would have them on our shores by now. Instead they gift us with one 3 months after the rest of the world has them. I Remember back in 1984 when the GSXR750 came out everywhere but the states, my brother and I rode to Canada to see one since they had them already.
