Gen 3 Latest report ..

I'm just bustin your grapes man not everyone is going to be on the track or drag strip alot are daily driving and I'm a die hard fan we can all get along we are busa nation! Honestly was waiting for someone to say they don't like it just hasn't happened yet.
Gotcha.....I just want to see an honest to goodness test with a rider who knows Hayabusa bikes...and gives it a bit of a flog....

I personally like the new bike and if I was to get another bike, getting this bike would be a no brainer for me.

No I enjoy being entertained by the fact when some joe average is reviewing a bike is enjoying having the crap scared out of them then I'm going to seriously consider that's my cup of tea. I just got a feeling that's not happening with this Bike

I find even the gen 1 and 2 are pretty docile until you want them to be scary....

It seems not many people in these videos have much experience with Hayabusas and their mannerism...

Yeah its a tease with these uk videos sucks really... come to the US where you can be free!!! Been on these ninjas to long sad to say I have forgotten what it's like to be be on the busa 5 years busa sober...guess that's why I'm so hyped!!! I was so close to getting a h2 or s1000rr hope I made the right decision...hell yeah I did!

A lot of press rides are pretty limited and on perfectly set up bikes and I suspect cheated bikes. Then the journalists get indoctrinated with presentations and are given pre-written technical handouts. I was told they even hand out pre-written snippets on "amazing features". The journalists are flown to amazing cities around the world and put up in posh accommodations to ride historic tracks. They are done with the review even before the plane lands back home. They are just an extension of the marketing arm of the manufacturer, bought by an exotic location.

Do you think those journalists are going to expose a dog bike? I think you have to read a lot of reviews and pick out the hints of issues on a bike. That's one of the real losses to the community when the print mags went under. Some of them were independent enough to actually print a true opinion.

I guess it was meant to be I told myself I wouldn't spend more then 16k on a new bike big thanks to ultimate cycles in Virginia if the gen 3 was 20k stock I wouldn't have bought it and at that price point it knocks out a new h2 or s1000rr now maybe down the road when I lose 50lbs and shrink a little I will jump on one but for now just happy to be back in the club...

they could have used the normal 1 1/2 mile runway (Bruntingthorpe) which is just 20 miles from Sywill aerodrome.
some say it's because they did not want a direct comparison for how quick it got to top speed
MCN normally use the longer runway

remember this ridden by same Bruce Dunn- all at the top end

Any modern vehicle engine should be able to compensate for altitude to about 6000ft...after that it's down to nature.
However the healthier low to mid range grunt should still feel better than the previous generation bikes.
1/4,mile times done at the UK launch are what they are... Data logged values and like any report or dyno sheet / drag time are for everyone to be sceptical about.
Using a runaway has 2 sides.... Good initial grip for 0-60 but also added drag on the tyres at speed so to end acceleration suffers

Still looking for an honest 1/4 mile time and an actual top speed run. Seems all the initial reviews are done in England in controlled conditions on the same short runway which does not allow them out of 5th gear. No real regimented comparisons with other bikes. With all the hype about the improved midrange, I suspect this bike may fall on its face at the top end. I do almost all of my riding at 5 to 10 thousand feet so any n\a bike is down on power anyway. Just a concern that we are being fed carefully curated information.
Personally I prefer a good top end rush, that's one of the big reasons I ride.... and with the first 2 gens of busa you had plenty of low/midrange and still had that addictive top end, because with big engines comes the ability to have both

I wouldn't be happy if my bike nosed over at higher rpms. In fact I modded my busa every bolt on way I could to get more top end rush, and it was still a brute in the low/midrange. Man I miss it lol.

Yep we won't get any real unbiased performance info until the bike's in the hands of a decent number of actual owners. But with 187 bhp, and more low/midrange, and add in the typical mods....even if it doesn't have the higher rpm rush of the gen 2 it's still going to be a blast to ride :race:

I live a mile up and ride up to 8000ft almost every ride, unfortunately there's no way to compensate for lack of oxygen.... all the computer can do is lean the fuel mixture out to keep the afr decent. You still feel the power loss big-time, but you keep the smooth throttle response. That's one of the reasons I've owned 2 turbo bike's, that's the best way to beat the elevation blues lol.

Even Ford gt40 owner digs it ....thumbs up !
