Hayabusa - ZX14R continuous Speed 300Km/h - Perfect | Videos

Tetsuo I contemplated putting lowered pegs and heli bars on my busa, but honestly it wouldn't have been enough, the pegs would've interfered too much with my corner carving, and I would've run into clearance issues with getting the bars as high as I wanted. I put Zero Gravity double-bubble windscreens on both bikes trying to get the wind blast higher so I could sit up straighter.

Honestly what I was looking for all along was a super fast, super comfy, great handling lightweight tourer. My back was trying to tell me that years before I actually listened :banghead:

I would be completely happy with a full on sport-touring busa with gen 2 power but the looks of the 3 with all the electronics :beerchug: But I do think the gen 3 is an awesome bike.... it'll be all the bike most will ever need. Do I wish it came with a little more power? Sure, but Suzuki did what they had to do to keep it around  And I agree it's going to be surprising plenty of people.... my modded gen 1 suprised me every time I rode it lol. Man I still miss that bike...

And Bumblebee, you have to remember I had a first gen busa and 14, I've never sat on a second gen busa or 14R. All I can say is getting off of the busa, and directly on the 14, the difference was big for me as far as back comfort goes. And I owned my busa for 10 years, at first it wasn't too bad, but by year 10 I just couldn't ride it anymore. I'm not saying the 14 is all day comfy for me either, but I could spend a couple hours in the saddle without being in so much pain it ruined the ride.

Ironically the most comfy bike for me now is my slower than molasses, tractor engined XR650L dual sport. That sit straight up and beg riding position with high bars is heavenly
My next street bike is going to be something similar with a LOT (did I say a lot?) more power.
Gen 2 busa is definitely less aggressive then the first gen

That's good to know Big D.... and from the image RedBull was gracious enough to share with us it looks like the ZX14R has an even more upright seating position than the gen 2 busa. Which means both gen 2 bikes might be more comfy than my first gen 14. I'm going to try and go sit on both the gen 2 busa and 14R..... maybe my best days on superbikes aren't all behind me yet :D

Judging by the overlay @RedBull provided....you'd have to be very astute to your riding position to really feel any difference between the bikes at all....
At the dealership they had a 14 and a busa side by side I would mount one, get off and onto the other back and forth. Any difference was splitting hairs. I couldn’t feel any appreciable difference at all.

The first gen 1 i was on a couple years ago really surprised me at how much more of a gixxer feel it had. I took the bike over to my cousin and made him sit on it because it felt so much like sitting on his 02 gixxer 600 as far as angle and everything was. Needless to say he really wants a gen 1 now

......hasn't anyone across the pond got a new Hayabusa into their hands yet?????

Where are all the ride reports???

Not very common for a new bike to be launched where there are zero independent ride reports.

I rode a ZX14R a few years back and it felt plenty aggressive in riding position-not GSXR aggressive but still not much different than my gen 2.

My brother who normally rides a BMW RT finds my Hayabusa to be far too extreme for him to ride any distance and that's with Heli bars and dropped pegs.

Good job brother ! ! !

Still want to see a gen 3 in person. I'm not in a position to get one and honestly cant since I love my Gen 2 so much LOL. It would just be unfair to have the gen 3 sitting there the whole time sad in the corner unused. Still looks like a cool bike with tons of potential for the future. Wait till modifications start coming out for them as well as tuning!

That's why us Gen I guys have bar risers and lower pegs.:firing:
The first gen was designed back when men were men and Hayabusa's were brutally fast AND handled...a first for big bikes of that era

I loved the way my first gen handled, I always rode it like a sportbike... it was way too uncomfortable for me personally to tour on, and back in 04 it was still looked at as the King  Just like your cousin, everyone that rode it couldn't believe how well it handled for a big bike. When I picked up my 06 14 I was shocked at how soft and barge-like it felt compared to my busa. When I would get back on the busa it felt so tight and reactive it did feel like a gixxer :D
