Gen 3 Latest report ..

Busa loyalty runs deep 13 years in the making we don't play that game what you smokin over there... comparing to katana riders you sir are wack! This bike is here to stay and people are paying 20k no problem and marking the days off the calendar...
I quoted that 51 out of 60 were sold here, I stated that the new Katana nearly sold out too then people started cancelling their orders after having a test ride of a demo.

If we want to compare the waiting times, the new Kat was made 38 years later and turned out to be a complete flop.

Im keeping an open mind about the Gen 3 to see how it rides etc.

I’ll keep my LE everyday of the week though haha

I have a feeling that once it comes time to settle, they'll be alot of cancelled orders here. New sales of bikes here just isn't great over the last couple of years. On the other hand, scooters are selling really well.
But the biking community here in my state, is shrinking..
Those that can or think they can drop close to $30k plus insurance are more chasing the prestige market for that price.. Ducati, BMW, etc..
They launched the bike at one of the worst times in recent human history to boot.....small businesses are disappearing, people are living hand to mouth and a luxury item like a motorcycle will be at the bottom of the list....

I think the eyes are bigger than the stomach in many cases and there will be bikes left at dealerships...people are losing homes and everything they own these days...

Gen 3 stock 175 rwhp on this dyno...
If we crunch the numbers for a second...the numbers we are seeing seem flawed.

Suzuki says the bike is 188bhp Suzuki said the gen 2 is 194bhp, I can't see Suzuki fudging these numbers, they are what they are....

This video says the bone stock gen 3 puts out 175rwhp. whereas the gen 2 with more bhp put out 173rwhp???

The bike needs to get on a known, proven and trusted dyno such as @ChrisMooreMafia or @Boosted Cycle Perf for the real numbers to be populated.

I'm not a rocket scientist but I'd say this dyno is out by a fair bit.

I like the latest version of the Katana, in my opinion it is the best version since the pop up model (and of course the original).

What came after '86 was not a Katana in my opinion.

The only thing I really don't get on the new Katana is that really weird license plate holder...if I had one of those bikes, that would have been the first thing to go..even before I rode it anywhere.

I can see similarities between the story of the Hayabusa and the story of the Katana..

When the Katana came out it was a cutting edge street dominator. It set the standard for others to follow....then it got watered down so much it was no longer competitive and it's name and what it stood for disappeared-it even became a ridiculed..

The Hayabusa is similar, it originally came out as a dominating street shredder laying all others to shame....it slowly got watered down to the point of not being relevant in the genre it was born into...the hyper bike world.

This new bike is a better version of itself, it is a better bike in almost every way but has came out at a time where the hyperbike is no longer dominate or relevant.

We still love them for all their flaws which says something for the draw to the bike......Suzuki could have just killed it off and nobody would have said anything....I am personally glad it came back and through the aftermarket will be out there making noise and tearing it up....

BMW has several models in the top seller list and I think the GS is top. All expensive bikes.
BMW bikes have always been more expensive than many other brands....they still sell bikes based on a reliability which may be a bit misleading as other bikes are just as reliable and cost less.

If we price out the gen 3, even at $20k it isn't that expensive as far as what you get.

Take a look at other motorsports-4 wheelers, side by sides, jet skis and snowmobiles....many of those exceed $20k, are very limited in their use yet they sell like hotcakes....

Yeah I was meaning in the US if you got this bike for 20k or less and the 2k in bonus pre order stuff no one canceling at least here and if they do someone will snack it up real quick and you would lose that $500 deposit and for ride quality it will be smooth as silk they had 13 years to get it right so far it looks like they did a decent job... the Katana is not the bread and butter of the company the busa will never flop.... and if you wanted it bad enough and did your homework like myself in the US it was secured for 17k otd with 2k in pre order swag so really 15k come on guys what would you do if you could get a new gen 3 for 15k and 2 year service warranty...

There was a time in the history of Suzuki where the Katana was the bread and butter...

The GSXR is the bread and butter of the company, not the Hayabusa....nor has it ever been....although it was a premiere bike in it's day, it doesn't know what it is today...

Hayabusa is a gsxr lol no one will miss the katana least in the US...

The Hayabusa is definitely not a GSXR...it is a GSX with an R attached...same as a GSX...S or F. I'm happy for this as my insurance company doesn't list it in the same category as the GSXR and insurance is cheaper as a result.

In it's day the Katana was THE bike Suzuki made...then the GSXR came along...Suzuki made the Katana forgettable until the latest version came along...

The Hayabusa has a place in motorcycle history right alongside the Katana.

Well you sir are lucky it's still a gsxr in the US and insurance rates at 1340cc are so bad that's why people can't own one sorry to say it's still the top dog here... did you hear what you just said it's a GSX with a R attached you need to lay off the salt sir... maybe you should just take the R off yours smh ...bumblebee would be ashamed to hear that go ahead and get a slowtana then lol...man can't believe a busa owner would say that... this new gen sure looks like a GSXR to me.

I don't have a GSX or R on my bike...don't need to advertise....and the insurance companies here don't refer to it as a GSXR, nor does Suzuki.

I love my bike but......it is just a bike no more, no less, I don't worship it, I ride it.

In all honesty, if Suzuki called it a Katana, I'd still ride it with honor befitting the name. I will never knock the name Katana, I owned a pop up version for almost 30 yrs.

called Suzuki customer service today...
it seems that they are expecting 1st batch of shipments in June (not sure of the date) into their warehouse and then they would be sent to the dealers.. considering these dates it is seeming mostly towards end of June or even early July.. Not so great news...

Early July ????.....I got the Hayabusa Stampede in Reno first week of July. C'mon Suzuki Spud has a schedule to keep !!!

I'm taking the 05', cause it's a bad@ss traveler, but a good friend was rolling through Bartlesville on their way to Reno, and was going to pick mine up on the way and bring it along...

:banghead:

Help a brother out Zuke !!!! You're killing me...

Pick yours up?

Pick yours up?
Going to have to. If I miss my window with my friends down South, then I'll have to fly to Bartlesville and just go pick it up.

I don't mind going myself, I was just taking advantage of the opportunity for my friends to pick it up, and I was just going to pay them what it was going to cost me to bring it back. They have a nice big trailer.

And no silver spoon here guys crew up in a trailer now life is good worked my tail off and saved my money all with humble beginnings I was smart this past year I guess it was my big break sold my house and all my toys and invested alot into the stock market while living with my girlfriend best year of my life to date...funny part is I told my family no more motorcycles since I did have a near death experience on the zx-14 but after buying my mom a house and my girl a new car and all debt free what can they say besides please be safe and no night riding lol... Which is my favorite my friends call me night rider it's that bad but I love the night rides it's the most addictive adrenaline rush you can get cool air no traffic and that tunnel vision can't catch me copper with nothing but pitch black around me...who's with me lol I have big ballz I guess... this bike was paid for by gamestop and cryptocurrency maybe that's why it may seem like I'm over enthusiastic again my apologies fellas...God speed to everyone in the forum and stay safe out there it's a crazy world right now.
AMC HOLD ALL DAY MAN. IM HOPING TO GIT LIEK YOU DID SO I DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT GETTING A DEAL OR NOT

Amc has been good to me as well but cryptocurrency was the big winner... and yes we all knew it's end of June that's covid for ya maybe even 4th of July... fireworks will be fun on that bad boy! Yeah ever since I asked brock and if he don't have one yet or even a date to expect her it's still gonna be awhile...smh
