same where I am. I've only ever seen one ( a gen 2) once. They’re gonna be rare as hen’s teeth just like now with all other Hayabusas. I almost never see any.

Super likeSo according to MCN monthly, Suzuki was being modest about power on the Gen 3. As all testers “butt dynos” would suggest.

Kind of surprising as the Gen 2 is rated at a higher BHP then the Gen 3 and that's from Suzuki.Moto magazine in Greece in the June issue tested the Gen 3 against Gen 2 and Gen 1. On the dyno Gen 1 had 153 RWHP, Gen 2 had 172 RWHP and Gen 3 177 RWHP. Changing the air fiter with the new DNA filter there was a 3 RWHP gain. And all these numbers will get higher with ram air on the road.
On the track the Gen 1 was the best, on the street the Gen 3 was on top. Going for top speed the Gen 3 is very fast up to 270 kph then the ECU starts limiting throttle up to 295 Kph (top speed). Nothing a future ECU flash can't fix.
You aren't kidding there...how come this guy and all his knowledge and skills isn't on here???This man is not playin...all 3 gen bikes all first year very nice brother!
Looks like 170 at the tire to me......which has been the consistent number I have seen for this bike

In every test in the day, the gen 2 was clearly a huge improvement over the gen 1 in every aspect (except the tail design IMO).
....and 2 less than a gen 2 which makes sense.Thats just ten more than mine.
...hey, I didn't do the testing.....just reporting on what was said (except the tail..)
It is better than the SRAD parts bin gen 3 tail...in the day and age where the tails get smaller and more stream-lined Suzuki must have decided to make it a big bottomed gal....At the risk of being censured, the Gen 2 is the best tail I've ever had
....and 2 less than a gen 2 which makes sense.
Gen 1s had around 163 rwhp...
Makes sense, I had to go check honestly and the spec sheet I saw said '99-'07 bikes were 163rwhp....there's probably a lot of spec sheets which will all have different values...All the Gen 1 dyno sheets I’ve seen were between 156 and 159 for pure stock runs. Mine did two runs @ 159 and one @ 160.
For me, being new to hayabusa i really like the rear of gen 3.. kind of uniqueKind of surprising as the Gen 2 is rated at a higher BHP then the Gen 3 and that's from Suzuki.
I honestly can't see Suzuki fudging around with their BHP ratings as that's what sells these days.
Each and every dyno is different but those numbers seem off.

The gen 3 SHOULD be an improvement over the gen 2 (except that darn huge arse end..I don't get it, the tails get uglier as they progress)
