Gen 3 Latest report ..

The Hayabusa name sells...if they had called this bike anything else, it would have sat on the showroom floor forever. Suzuki originally built the Hayabusa to be a street domination machine which is something it hasn't been in stock form for years and years. Kawasaki won that title and will hold onto it.

This bike is the best Hayabusa yet but Suzuki isn't interested in staying in the street dominance war. Like it's previous versions, the tuners not the company which made (will make) it the bike to be feared by it's competition.

I have said a few times already that Suzuki should have put factory hard bags, a larger windshield and more of an upright riding position to make this a proper sport tour bike. There is lots of competition in that segment as well.
This is like hitching a race horse to a turnip wagon. I’d rather see it dead.

A good. Mate had a early release Z H2. Had it for maybe 2 months then sold it. No soul. No pride in seeing it when he walked into the garage. Fast, yes. Nimble, yes. But not a grin inducing bike.
I had a chance to finally ride a used zh2 today fun ass bike but after 130 it's just not as fun more sketchy then anything no protection and loud with a seat hard as a rock but great commuter bike could easily ride it for hours with a upright postion and motocross bars... just crazy it's 20k for a naked bike and I would probably lose my license trying to hear the supercharger doing the speed limit on that thing is impossible.

If you notice in this video at around 0:55, the bike is maxed out on the speedometer but the tach is stopped at 10,000, that tells me once the ECU is unlocked this bike has quite a bit of power left in it and will most likely have a higher top speed of an equally set up gen 1 or 2.
0:30 First run, the tach is a little past 9000 and the speedo hit 265 kph (165 mph).

1:02 Second run, The tach hits 9500 and the speedo is at 280 kph (174 mph).

The tach and the speedo never stop climbing, the rider rolls off before any limiter is hit. It's hard to compare that to Gen2 runs because they usually shift at 11k or higher and never get back into the 9000 rpm range. The Gen2 speed runs look like the bike is pulling a lot harder in the upper revs than the Gen3. If the rider in your video would run his up to 11k before shifting, maybe it would too. Of course, we don't know if the Gen3 in your video has been tuned either. I would suspect not but it does sound like he at least has an aftermarket exhaust of some sort.

I think I'm going to pick up a 14R (or maybe a gen 2 busa if the comfort factor allows) for the majority of my riding.
I'd go with the 14R. No hurry I guess, we'll know if the Gen3 busa beats it by next year and new and used 14Rs will still be available too. I think if it's stock power and comfort your after, the 14R is going to be the right ticket. Like you guys said, the busa looks to have bowed out of the top speed domination war and is keeping the spirit of the old bike alive. BTW, 06blue might have been the wrong name. It's Monty, now Grn14...maybe he was Blue06 back then...I think he was Bluebird at one point. Anyway, swing by ninjaforums and ask him about his H2, he has a recent ride video in the Ride Reports section. He's had two H2s now. I think he'll remember you although he had a serious crash and sustained some brain damage. I talk to him on the phone and he's been back to the same old guy for a long time now but IDK about longterm memory on everything.

Just got off the phone with suzuki corporate representative will be calling me back in a few hours with information straight from the source in motorcycle division... he said he would usually know right away but they are working from home and he will have to email them. I wonder if we do get in april will it be a 2021 or if it's june will it be a 2022 ?

And here gen 2 vs h2r and it was still a close race until the end... not too shabby against a 50k non street legal 300hp missile.

Only because the H2 platform has very low torque numbers compared to a Hayabusa can the Hayabusa stick with it in the bottom end...

See the way the H2 pulls off into the distance once it gets it's legs under it?

It's still a better Hayabusa than the other generations but it's rein as street dominator is long dead.

I still say if I was in the market for a new bike, a gen 3 Hayabusa would be a no-brainer for me.

That being said, I'd say there is a lot more on tap once the ECU is opened up. It will be interesting once the tuners get hold of one.

If someone's whole goal in life is to have a stock street dominator, this bike just won't do it. If someone's goal is to have the best rendition of a Hayabusa motorcycle, I think this one fits that bill.

the discount text was through revzilla?
Yessir ....a generic code for all... you're welcome! Got lucky lots of exclusions but not on akrapovic and no taxes for most states and $65 in zilla cash on next purchase...great deal on a 2k system. If for some reason won't let you use it just make new account with new email and phone number it will send that code right away to you... good luck.

I’m not saying I don’t like it. I’m saying turning it into a bagger would be a turnip wagon. Please Suzuki, don’t turn a stallion into a mare, I like it as is.
