Gen 3 Latest report ..

As an out of the box bike the Hayabusa barely cracks the top ten fastest bikes available. And anything which can be done to a Hayabusa to make it go faster can also be done to bikes which compete against it.

Watch a few You Tube videos of the gang who go into Mexico to wring out their bikes and generally if there is a Hayabusa there it is not leading them.

Even cruisers can be made into 1/4 mile dominating weapons...

I know, I'm sad too as I am a die-hard Suzuki guy
But it's the fastest, Biggest bike.

"It's rein as a street dominator is long dead ???".......

Hardly, the fastest bikes out there are "still" Hayabusas. The factory-fast have high price tags for published-bragging rights at bike nights. Some of the consistently fast Hayabusa's are turbo. A little swing arm stretch, a little gear ratio change, bolt on some forced induction, a custom map, and you've got a super car killer. Does it come from the factory like that?. Too much liability.

"We" put the fast into the Hayabusa these days. It's all about how fast do "you" want to go.....Suzuki is playing the global corporate game, minimize liability, cooperate with as many EPA regulations as possible, euro-5 and all that. For the hayabusa.org crowd we could care less about any of that.

:D

Every time some of my friends crack another tenth of their quarter at unbelievable elapsed times and speeds, it's done on a Hayabusa. More than any other. There are many that prowl the streets on the same exact machines drag racing. Nasty fast.

Once in a while you've got a guy in the crowd that's not on a Hayabusa that's cracking quick times, but it's not very common.
See, here's the thing...
We're not all into stretching and 1/4 mile stuff and road racing. Some of us leave it stockish and take it out of the city and do some long open roads with bends on it.
Let it breath out in the open where it was built for.

As a bike to strike awe and excitement in to those around us when we ride has faded now. I was hoping the Gen3 would re establish that again. But it hasn't.
Its released a nice, sensible riding bike that has all the nanny aids a beginner could ask for. No longer is a beginner getting a Busa as a first bike a silly thing anymore.

If I'm spending my hard earned I want something that's a bit special.. Not generic. Which is why I'll stick to my Gen2 thanks.

Unless you are on an H2 or ZX14R which both pretty much weigh the same...
lol .... yep.
And let's not forget just about any liter bike these days.. Those things are crazy.
My mate who had the ZH2, had a BMW s1000RR - he reckoned it was the best thing he had. Super quick and was able to do full days ride on it too, which for a 6'2" guy is impressive

What is this list you are referring to?

Are we comparing 100% stock bikes or unrestricted and flashed stock bikes? Big difference...

Fair point, though I was referencing current models which a ZX14 isn't, and the SX is smaller stock, ie without panniers.
Biggest means size,not weight.

I'm 6'3", demo rode the S1KRR and predictably found it to have too small a cockpit and too weak low down. And only good for solo.Just like every 1K. Also the clutch bite is right at the end of the lever travel causing frequent stalling.

You can still buy a brand new ZX14R so it's as current as a gen 2 Busa you can still buy brand new.

Never sat on an H2 but I get you, the big 'ol bikes like the Hayabusa are going away...all except the Hayabusa

True enough, there's a few 14s still for sale over here, but there is no 2021 model year, so not Current ,current.
As you say, G3 Hayabusa is in a class of one, that class being the quickest, largest machine if that takes ones biscuit.

Isn't it interesting how everyone's take on bikes are so different. He's had many, many bikes and swears by the RR. That thing was super quick and he could make it dance.
But our individual likes and dislikes on bikes is why we have a selection to choose from.

We have a 2021 zx14 listed for sale here at the dealers. Don't know if it's a 2020 build and registered in 2021, but they're advertised and listed as a 2021 model

The gentleman who owned my bike before went to an S1RR and says in many ways the Busa is a better bike but it would be hard pressed to keep up to the Beemer and when the corners started, the Beemer shines.

It makes sense as the Beemer is based on a race bike with more power and lighter weight....if it couldn't out-perform the Busa, there is a problem.

It may well be, but for the EU and UK it's a discontinued model though you can still buy last years model and have a 2021 number plate I suppose. Who cares! Ha.
