Gen 3 Latest report ..

The only gripe I can find , is that plastic textured panel under the tank and above the frame rail, for leg grip I guess , but smooth gloss painted might have looked killer .

Those who paint inner fairings/meter panels would have experience bonding paint to this plastic. This piece as you point out would get continuous contact though. Can such a painter apply a fine finish to these parts that will hold up to constant scraping?

9.31 in the 1/4 is awesome - but the strip is super sticky and prepped , wonder what the time would be on normal; street tarmac

Kind of made me think why didn't they put the copper ascents on the silver bike and red with the black as it would of been a better fit since the original gen 1 was silver and copper (even tho a lot say silver and gold).

My guess is it has to do with heat. If people complained about a hot frame or tank at some point, this is how they addressed it maybe..

I think it was mentioned, but from someone who has clocked a couple thousand miles on one. It is totally torquey in the low and midrange, it will snap your neck, I checked mileage b4 reaching break in and got 42 MPG, that is down from 48 I could get on the GEN II, from what I’ve seen, it’s a 1340 cc engine but it was completely redesigned. I don’t know how they did it but this bike feels a hundred pounds lighter even though it’s 5 pounds heavier, and it corners much better.

There's something to be said about a stout low and mid range...after coming off oil burner GSXRs the gen 1 Bandit I had was pretty formidable in it's mid range....it had no top end but would get up and go from pretty low in the rev range...

I find my gen 2 has to be in the revs to have the same sort of punch.

As the gen 3 is specifically tuned for mid range, I wonder if doing the simple mods we normally do will soften that like it does on the other generations...?? Hope not.

anyone with a silver/red color received their free seat cowl? My dealer ultimate cycles in Virginia is saying they haven't received any silver/red cowls till date.. I picked up motorcycle on July 1st and wondering if anyone else have the same issue not receiving yet the free cowl.. I might try calling Suzuki customer service

That ADM is a joke! I pretty much blacklist any business pulling that garbage. Car dealers try that also and I just laugh out loud in the showroom when see it.

I picked up my bike July 9th and my dealer had the cowl in three weeks. Took another 5-days to get to me so almost a month from when I got the bike until cowl was in my possession.

I'd call Suzuki, they are in charge of sending them out. Unless your dealer hasn't registered your bike with Suzuki yet?
