In the race world yes , but in everyday real world reliability , and low warranty costs by a manufacturer is a no with out a redesign . Example ZX based engine from 1056 cc to 1164 cc aka 1100 to 1200 required 2 mm additional wider block / head = new cases , and crank change .
Manufactures do not want warranty or recalls .
Do not take my opinion on the new engine as defense to Suzuki rather more a why X 1340 cc is not a suitable candidate for a big CC jump for mass production without issues down the road .
Something to see will be the Dyno run after a ECU flash , and exhaust .
