Hi. Has anyone ever ridding in snow? Not on tje side of the road but on the street as you go.
I would never intentionally ride my bike in the snow for any reason, I'd walk or stay home before I tried riding in the snow. The closest I came to riding in snow was in 2019 when I was at the summit of MT Evans, 14130 feet, and as we were descending the mountain it started to hail, not a comforting feeling but fortunately it turned to rain which wasn't fun either.

Amen to that....

I rode home from work once in the snow.....followed by a military police car to ensure I made it as I only had a couple kms to go...when I went to work it was a beautiful, sunny day and as I wasn't outside all day, I didn't notice the snow.

It would suck to drop the Hayabusa as all that plastic doesn't like that very much...

Since I got my xmass present, the red and white 2017, I was forced to put one of my bikes in a carport. It locks and is closed on all sides, with lattice all down the long side. But mud wasps get in and I wasn't happy with the situation. The garage under the house itself was originally an open two car arrangement but was divided before I bought it, one side being converted into two rooms. When I first settled here it made sense to line the remaining one with pallet racking, which is a boon! but adding a few filing cabinets and other stuff and you run out of room real fast.

Last night I took a long look at the setup and realized that if I moved a tall steel cabinet, mobile tool box and a filing cabinet that were against the wall off the end of one rack, I could fit, just fit, my rr in the space. I measured everything and the numbers added up so I was up until 2am, unloading and moving it all. I finished the job today and got all 4 bikes in the garage. It's not a tight as is looks, there is actually a lot of open space at the back where one bike could be wheeled around and put on a stand for maintenance. A couple of filing cabinets had to go elsewhere, but they were just full of crap anyway.

One thing I have learnt is that if the bikes are supported under the stands by big blocks of wood, like the sole plates used for scaffolding -I was a Scaffolder in another life- the bikes sit a lot more upright and take up less room. The trick is to have that side out from the wall so if you bump into them they won't topple over. Or to have them so close that you can't be on the other side and inadvertently bump them. They are still very stable on the blocks though, they'd need a good shove to tip over. Interestingly if you push the bikes a bit from behind the side stands don't fold up, the blocks just slide along the painted floor.
