I disagree. I’m stating that CURRENTLY that’s how they get them. Take them away from everyone and they would find another way. But currently local to me that is how they get them. By committing crime.The flaw in the logic of the first statement is that by that reasoning, if there weren't guns in most houses criminals wouldn't be able to get them.
To your second point, if it became illegal to have guns, would you then stop owning guns or stop being a law abiding citizen? Because if you're willing to do something illegal simply because you don't like the law, any law anyone doesn't like then becomes irrelevant. You can see the problems with that. Hell, you deal with the consequences of that every time you work!
I'm not saying this for any other reason than to point out the flawed logic, and such arguments are incredibly common on both sides of this particular discussion.
As far as if they made them illegal by removing the second amendment then I would be a criminal. Our country has it written that it is our right. I would fight and die for that. Took an oath to protect it.
