Do you think that my personal stance on guns is going to rob you blind in the night? Nope, it's my opinion and I definitely dont think someone who loses there poop on a social media site should own one either.

Tools can be used or ABUSED by the PEOPLE that use them.

I guess I should have stated I'm not a politician and cant do squat about your rights. Je lost his poop when he had to state his while career for something that was a complete opinion. Do you tell your whole public servant career everytime who just want to state an opinion? Public service is exactly that, service to the public which is funny because in my community people are terrified some one will walk in a public school and shoot them with assault rifles. Then they call you the public servants to take them out. How easy it would be if only they had the pistols and you the trained marine with his 21 years experience only had the assault rifle, just a thought...

As far as having as “them” only having pistols while I have a rifle is the exact reason for the second amendment. But I won’t waste my time explaining that.
I will say it’s sad that you live in such an amazing state and can enjoy the freedoms you can while feeling people should be limited because of the actions of criminals. Perhaps you should sell your hayabusa and buy a grom as there is no reason to own a bike that can go that fast. There is no reason for people to have a bike that fast. Someone might go 190mph on one and hurt someone. Maybe the government should ban them. See the logic?

Assault rifles are banned or require special licenses to own. Semiautomatic rifles are just rifles. They can be of any style, is the mini 14 more deadly than the AR platform? Politicians have successfully programmed people to believe assault style weapons are the same thing. It is not about the rifle, my marlin 22 is the same thing as an AR.

I have zero sympathy for anyone entering my home uninvited. However, the medical side of me will come out in the sense of attempting to preserve life. I'll give one chance to sit down and await authorities. Any move beyond that and I'll have no problem doing a double tap shuffle.

You live in a country strong with gun culture, whether it is a hunting rifle or assault style rifle, when one is shot by one, they are just as injured or dead.
Does an individual need an assault style weapon-no. Does someone want one-I'd say yes.
Just like @greg3852 pointed out, we ride motorcycles which are designed to exceed high rates of speed. Doing so is a criminal act yet I wager 99% of the people on this forum has done this. We are not criminals but we enjoy our very powerful motorcycles.
I own assault rifles and go to the range to shoot if for nothing else to relax. I like them mostly for the fact I carried them most of my life and they are comfortable to shoot.

Although tools as you call them they do influence people and kids.
When I was a kid we were out all the time playing in the dirt, riding bikes, outdoor games even with toy cap guns. We interacted with other kids and adults. We got picked on and bullied. We lost games. We did not get a participation reward. I envied anyone that had a MC.
We learned about real life. We watched TV where people got shot and fell. Today you see blood and guts, heads chopped off, throats cut and there is a kind of immunity to it. People on tv today kill for no reason. When I was a kid it was normally a bad guy or good guy and the good guy normally won in the end.
Today most kids stay inside and watch TV, play video games, or on the internet and are exposed to all kinds of graphic violence and opinions.

c'mon.... its not TV or anything they see.... its these shytty parents who have kids and they are kids themselves... nobody ever showed them how to be an adult... at my job we have 20 somethings that work there that have NEVER been in a fight.... NEVER... their reactions to some of these uses of force are priceless.... I have a couple cousins who had kids and they were about as dumb as a stump.... my cousins are kids themselves... what life lessons can they impart?
