(rlachermeier @ Aug. 11 2006,10:51) How long of a stretch do you need to max it out?rock.gif??   Just curious!!!
There is actually a great article in SuperStreetBike magazine this month about that, check it out you will be surprised.... race.gif

(dkariores @ Aug. 22 2006,11:22) on the street the spedo only goes to 186... on the dyno i saw 229 on the screen before i shut it down.. but that was with no resistance and fans blowing directly into the air scoops...
just a question as my dyno experience lacks.. can fans really create the amount of force or air that hits those scopes at 150mph+ rock.gif???

understand the lack the resist.... anyone??

Edit: I guess this is a tre bike??

Peg the bike weekly now. Bike runs great all the way through. I peg out at about 9800 RPMs. Bike is smooth all the way. Clocked 65 speedo reading 69 on '06. roughly 6% error at that point. Possibly running 186 - 188 stock with fatazz pilot. Couldn't lock in on me running through gears. Where's Maxton, what are the requirements, and cost? Whenever I get the chance I'm going to the limit. Need to find safer area.

160 on a 2 lane long straight empty country road here in Ohio. OMG! I was amazed at how quick i got there and how stable it was. Other than the light bending around me it felt as stable as 60mph!!
p.s. screw you zx-14!

(buss05 @ Aug. 29 2006,16:15) 6th gear at around 9500 RPM. Speedo indicated 180 on the nose...suddenly I started thinking about the stories of engines seizing up and people going down hard and my respect for my own life brought me safely back to an earthly altitude of my normal speeding...about 20mph over the posted limit.

AWESOME!!!!!

But the possibilities of what could happen are way too scary
Hmmm.... What engines seizing up, an guys going down? Would sure like to know more!!!! wow.gif

I've gone over 90 - twice! I guess you could say I'm still learning, huh?

I finally got out yesterday for about an hour - haven't been on the bike for months... had to learn to ride it all over again. Got the bike in May '06 - looked at the odo when I got home - 1448 miles on it. I think I need to ride more.

Hey Lisa, riding a Busa is awesome enough. beerchug.gif
Speed will come with time. Not to mention there's just too much
wildlife up here to go that fast frequently.
When I visit Nashua and Manchester, NH once a month, I try to
do it there on 101E heading to the coast. 4 lanes wide open, straight as an arrow.
I hit 172-180 a couple times in a year. Around here, 130-140 is about all these highways can take.
