If you can encourage a Great Horned Owl to hang around. He will take care of them, and the squirrels too. It worked here. Just put a bird feeder out in the open the cats go for the birds and the Owl go for the cats.
Now that's humane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is more of a chance of a feral/wild/stray/outdoor cat contracting rabies than your dog. while raccoons still hold the top spot guess which is usually second... The cat. All joking aside, I REALLY hate cats. But, living on a farm we need them so we welcome stray cats. They do a great job at taking care of the mice getting in the livestock feed. They do have a high fatality rate with all of the predators in the area. Me included on the predator list.
