I don't get it?

If you happen to fall off your bike, see how many folks stop to help you over here.

If that happens in some places I have been, you probably would have been left there, minus your wallet, minus your bike, perhaps even your boots.

Some folks just don't know the meaning of "Civil"
I've been in a few of these places too and it sure isn't pretty.....many people living in impoverished conditions with electricity and running water sometimes and everyone is armed for a reason-to protect their basic needs. We were there in multiple capacities both covertly and overtly but knowing we could leave there was a huge comfort.

Having to witness the human misery around us was hard to bear...then coming home and having my kids fight over a video game or something trivial like that was tough.

Many people here in Canada and the US generally have no clue just how good they have it...

...and lots of other U.S cities
As I said before a few posts ago….

It is your choice where you wish to live and who you choose to mingle with.

Where I live we don’t need locks, keys or fences around our properties.

There are lots of countries where that will be impossible.

I am probably of the old generation who still appreciates what we have.

A young man asked his grandfather: "Grandpa, how did you live in the past without technology:
Without computers
There is no internet.
No drama no drama
With out the TVs
With no air conditioning
With no cars
Without a cell phone ? "

Grandpa replied:
"As your generation lives today:
There are no prayers
There is no compassion.
There is no respect
There is no education
There is no personality
No shame
There is no modesty "
There is no honesty
We, the people who were born between 1940-1960 were blessed...
Our lives are a living proof.

While playing and riding a bicycle, we never wore a helmet.

Before school then we played until dusk; we never watched tv.

We played with real friends, not virtual friends

If we were thirsty, drink water from the tap, and not mineral water.

We never got disturbed because we shared the same cup of juice with four friends.

We've never gained weight by eating plates of pasta every day.

Nothing happened to our feet despite the strolling with bare feet.

We have never used food supplements to stay healthy.

We used to create our own toys and play with them.

Our parents were not rich. They gave love .. Not the material.

We never had a cell phone, DVD, game console, Xbox, video game, PC, internet, chat, but we had real friends.

We visited our friends without being invited and shared and enjoyed the food with them.

Parents lived nearby to make the most of the family time.

We may have had black and white photos, but you can find colorful memories in these photos.

We are a unique and most understanding generation, because we are the last generation that listened to their parents...
And we are also the first ones to be forced to listen to their children.

We are a limited edition!
Take advantage of us. Learn from us.
We are a treasure destined to disappear.

Funny @jellyrug, but prior to the last year or so the crime rate in this country had tumbled down for nearly 30 years. Our economy is still going up and up, even after surviving a pandemic. The truth is our country is not failing, certain people are determined to kill it.

What I don't get in the Kyle Rittenhouse murders is how someone can illegally put themself in a risky situation and then claim self-defense. For example, if I take a weapon into a bank and try to rob it, I can't claim self-defense when I return fire at a guard and kill a customer. Clearly walking through a riot with an AR-15 in a sling is inherently provocative. Further, Kyle testified he went to Wisconsin to protect people's property. Yet he also admits that the law does not allow you to shoot someone to protect property.

The judge is allowing the defense to enter testimony on Kyle's state of mind leading up to the shooting but not allowing the prosecutor to focus on anything but the moment of the shooting. Taken out of context, yes Kyle was acting in self-defense, but he put himself in that position, was the provocateur, and did so illegally in several ways as a minor.
This is the dumbest logic I have seen you spew here in a while. Was Kyle robbing any bank or anybody?

In the act of depriving people of money or valuables a person loses their rights to self defense.

If you carry a AR-15 ( not nearly as deadly as 12 gauge semi auto shotgun with 6 rounds in a magazine )

to a riot in progress people should know that that gun has to potential to kill. Unfortunately the people that saw Kyle with that gun didn't consider the results that could come from attacking Kyle.

The people could be labeled as Darwin Award Winners. Do stupid actions, get deadly results.

When he shot those idiots he was protecting his life, not somebody else's property.

I guess you missed that part of the testimony.

The prosecutor needs help... all he is doing is making Kyles case for him.

Now the leftist morons are saying threatening things regarding the 18 jurors on this case.

Let me ask you this... how many lives do you have? 1?

So, if somebody points a loaded gun at you and you also possess a loaded gun... what are you going to do? Are you going to shoot them before they shoot you? or, are you going to wait until they fire on you before you shoot back?

Watch what happens when thieves try to steal with a gun.

Be nice that’s what CNN told him......

I did illegally carry an AR into a riot. Apparently, there is a technicality in Wisconsin all about the length of the barrel that allowed him to have the gun according to the judge.

Opps I didn't carry into a riot, I meant "I did say he carried.,,"

Fake news it’s only like 3 post up....you said (He did illegally carry a Ar15 in to a Riot) or was that a misspeak also?
That was before I was aware of the circumstances of the judge dropping the illegal possession of the AR charges based on the Wisconsin technicality. I think that ruling was like 11/15 or so. I say he had the gun illegally on post #13 which was Friday 11/12 I think.

Bats, Molotov cocktails, fireworks, razers, and eye damaging lasers are fine though, right?
100 years ago, this young man would have been working as cheap labor down a coal mine, in an endeavor to contribute towards keeping food on the table for his family.

Fast forward to today, at 17 years old he has nothing better to do than seeking adventure in a riot with an AR15 purchased with daddies money.

This is how all the great nations throughout history have failed. Life becomes too easy, people become entitled, their attitudes go down the drain and the next hardworking nation becomes a world power to be reckoned with.

Long story short, he should not have been there and a kid should not be allowed to carry a firearm in public.

Lol man do you sound old..... 100 years ago if he was working in a coal mine, he'd get off of work go to a saloon, drink, smoke, plow hookers and get into fights.
