It just doesn't stop

Please Bee. He's already called me multiple names. And labels. Let's not try and stop him now. We are just beginning to see his character unfold here.

I've dealt with far better character than this. He can't help it. It's just a script they run.
I've called you multiple names? You of course are innocent, never saying things like "liberal scum"? I tend to give what I get.

There has been lots of this over the years and in multiple posts and threads...

In my experience it is the keyboard that is talking and not the individual...if we were all face to face, we'd have great discussions and a few laughs...

I don't know. I see people in real life everyday inflamed and pissed about a lot of things. I stay the hell away from them in general. Politics, the economy, the deteriorating of personal service. Can't afford rent. Can't find a job that pays what they want.

We need to stop with the political rhetoric that is now the default.

To the Right, the liberals are all Socialist/Communist.

To the Left all Republicans are racist.

Neither are true. But it just makes it easier to be d*#kheads to each other if they want to believe that.

100% - When Facebook first starting getting real big, I moved to another state but kept in contact with all my ex-coworkers and some social friends if you will. I was SHOCKED at some of the things people post but will never say to your face. I eventually realized I had no idea what people really believed and how they really felt. I left Facebook many years ago and never returned.

I don't know who started this thread but I hate them!! Just kidding.

Did you guys see that somebody met Mike Lindell's challenge to prove his election data was false? He publicly put up $5 million to prove him wrong and some computer wiz kid did it and now the Pillow guy is paying out some big cash.
I think the biggest problem we have today as a nation is we can't even agree on what is fact and real anymore, and if you can't do that how do you start a conversation?

Look back a couple of days worth dude. That old man was first called racist and later senile.
Like I said, trying to offset media bias is like pulling dandelions. Losing battle. Drop the race angle and what we have is a gun issue as Bee intended when he started this thread. Not saying you started the discussion of racism, but you sure seem to encourage it.

I'm not the one implying the 84 year old white man is racist. He might be for all we know. But at this juncture your logic would imply that the Basketball shooting should also be a racist act. It may or may not be.

But so far not one person on the left has made that assertion that a black man shooting a white person makes him a racist. In fact noone seems to have. But correct me if I have missed that being posted.

What we do get is deflection and lack of parity in the argument. Labelling me instead of the shooter. Sorry if my posting that makes you uncomfortable.

Right now that white man and that black man are doing the same things. The only one being implied is a racist is coming from the left directed to a white shooter.

And yeah I do all I can to point out the headwind the left is placing on themselves by defaulting to the racial rhetoric as the solution to all of the problems they face.

It's a deflection from the reality of what needs to be addressed.

When I suggest I'd support a candidate like Candace Owens, go back and look at that response. I never brought up that she is more black than Kamala Harris ever will be.

There was an inverview with the old man's grandson on CNN, so you wouldn't have seen it. According to him the old man is very much racist and spends all day watching right wing TV.

And who are you to say that one person is "more black" than another? Pretty sure we have established that you are white.

Maybe I haven’t been clear. You continue to use the words white and black in your posts. I realize it’s because of social prejudices but regardless, not helpful. These are gun issues. Colors of skin have zero to do with it. As per Owens and Harris, again I see both as viable alternatives to Biden and Trump and you’re comparing pigment.
These discussions become pretty heated and our antagonistic political and sociological beliefs don’t always translate well via keyboard.
Bee hit it right on the head that we would probably all get along great at rest stops.

Now we can agree on somethings. As soon as a race is implied it becomes about race.

The color of a kid that go shot or the color of the man that pulled the trigger should have no relevance in a discussion of gun control. Or violence. Or values. Or who the eff they vote for.

I hope you can agree there

As to Harris vs Owens. Race can't be a factor if they are both considered black. So it comes down to what they offer for values that contribute to America. I don't agree with all of Owens positions. But of the two choices, she offers me more beneficial values than Harris. You don't have to agree and that's fine. But at least it won't be about a racial disagreement.

The sad part of it all is that human beings are shooting human beings and in many cases for no apparent reason...

Firearm owner training, firearm controls or banning wouldn't have stopped most of these shootings as there are so many firearms out in the hands of the public that they could never be brought under any sort of control. When someone's "go to" response is to get their firearm to answer the door or to see who's coming up their driveway, there's a bigger problem out there.

If you want to know what is fact or fiction just post it on Facebook.
If the factcheckers say it’s false then it means it is absolutely true.
Roflmao….

Candace would destroy her in a debate. Five mins tops and done. Only reason it wouldn’t be four is due to the one minute of uncontrollable cackling coming from Harris we’d have to listen to.

Man has been killing since he was created. Pretty sure cavemen answered their doors with a club in their hand. I don’t see it as much the tools used but what is going on in society where human life seems so worthless? People kill each other for nothing these days. Respect for fellow humans is lost.

Turns out it was a phone charger. She killed a man over a $5 electrical item.
We’re doomed.

These senseless shootings seem to be accelerating faster and faster.....

Little kid and her parents getting shot over a basketball, young ladies getting shot over attempting to get in the wrong car and apologizing over and over while being shot at.....and the list goes on and on and on and on.......

You can assume I'm white if you like.

As far as I know Candace Owens has stated that all of her roots are seated as African ones.

Kamala Harris is Black and Indian American according to how Biden labelled her in his campaign. To which she never attempted to correct if it was wrong.

When she was a California Senator she was African American and South Asian American.

Indians are of Asian decent so I can see the gray area there.

Then later in her speeches she states she is, Jamaican American, Caribbean American, Asian American and Indian American, and of Asian descent, Indian origin, mixed Indian and Jamaican heritage.

There is a lot of flavors there. Which label is she trying to identify as in that?

Obama was half and half. But he was a Black President. What happened to the other half?

I didn't label any of them. They are presented for us to accept.

I'll watch CNN and listen to the grandchild's version. And take that as a qualifying bit of info that adds some weight to that racist outcome. But I'll want to watch an actual interview. Not CNNs version of it, in word form. As you are keenly aware, sometimes they see fit to leave out keys words to change context.

I'll be interested in seeing the interviews that revolve around the Basketball shooter in NC. Assuming there will be any.

I don't know anything about Harris' ancestry. I do know that if folks are half black they are generally referred to as black.

All I know about the interview is what I saw on CNN. Where you might find the full verbiage I have no idea. Local paper maybe?

A few states passed a law back in the day that if u had 1 drop of African blood, u were black. Usually it’s the dominant gene so most(not all) mixed race people look more black in skin tone than white anyway. That’s most likely why if you half, you are viewed as black by most people.

Obama wasn’t even born here anyway.

Jk jk lol

I can't remember who put it this way, but it was pretty correct.

There was a time when arguments got settled by "taking it outside". Fist were as bad as it got. And you had to think about if it was worth getting your ass kicked in a fight. That led to de-escalation more often than not.

Now, just shoot them.

Which is met with "Shot them before they shoot me"

Firearms are like a fist fight now. Too common a way to settle an argument.
